duaneiac Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Disc 2 of 4. I do have to be in the right mood to listen to this music, but when I'm in that mood, this really hits the spot. Still, I think this 4 disc retrospective is all the Crusaders music I really need. Are there any Crusaders albums that members here would consider "essential"? Quote
HutchFan Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Prompted by some "Groove" talk on another thread: Richard "Groove" Holmes - Groove's Groove (32 Jazz) Excellent single-disc overview of Holmes' Muse recordings. Quote
duaneiac Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Polkas, cha chas, mambos, cumbias, waltzes, twists -- they're all here on this delightful compilation of Brave Combo's early recordings. Quote

JSngry Posted December 30, 2018 Author Posted December 30, 2018 It’s a fascinating piece of history, actually, and quite well produced. The deep deets about the bribery/extortion biz of a sitting VP. I knew there was a general criminality, but here are specifics about the crimes and the prosecutors who basically stumbled into the whole thing while going after Agnew’s Democrat successor as governor of Maryland. Elliot Richardson emerges as a true American hero. 40 minutes ago, Brad said: Mr. Nattering Nabob of Negativism was 40 years too early! Context! Quote
