Yesterday I ended up with yet another incursion in the discography of one the best indie Spanish groups, probably the first to introduce the concept of noise-pop in the Spanish scene, in the early-to-mid 90s. First disc, still one of my favourites. "Qué Puedo Hacer?" is a classic!

a stroll down memory lane inspired by a fantastic 'with strings' broadcast by BBC yesterday.

He has written some great (and a fair few less great) songs.  Always preferred his soul man musical persona over the guitar rock-god one.  He certainly deserves his position in the UK pantheon

Atomic Rooster - Best. Dance of Death

wallowing in nostalgia, playing this and other Go-Betweens albums whilst reading Tracey Thorn's 'My Rock 'n' Roll Friend' about her relationship with Lindy Morrison.

I loved this band from about 1983-88, saw them many times.  Albums stand up well, I think.
