I stopped listening to them very early, at 'Curtains', and I'm not sure why now at this distance. So my favourite remains the first one.

My interest is piqued again so I think I'll stream some of the later ones. Obviously you rate 'Simple Pleasure' highly as you post it often so I'll start there. Which other later one would you suggest I try?

I believe Tindersticks "I", "II", "Curtains" and "Simple Pleasure" build a consistent body of work .... thereafter ups and downs occur ....

Recently talked about James Carr, Spencer Wiggins and O.V. Wright being a league of their own .... this outstanding John Edwards LP from 1976 demonstrates how well the "Southern Soul 2nd Tier" was cast .... btw produced by David Porter ....

Richard Marks "Never Satisfied" (Now-Again Records) 2015 .... a sought after guitar player by greats like Al Green and Eddie Kendricks .... but Richard Marks was an outstanding Southern Soulster on his own recording for a myriad of small labels .... worth seeking out ....
