Pim Posted Thursday at 06:32 PM Report Posted Thursday at 06:32 PM So is up for pre order on a Dutch website https://www.bol.com/nl/nl/p/pharoah-sanders-love-is-here-the-complete-paris-1975-ortf-recordings/9300000234054068/?bltgh=qLCFn-x5dVVkL-C6ZxxA0Q.i70GoxRfH3UDXsHI0iBGNw_0_9.13.ProductPageUrl Doesn’t look legit to me. Any idea if it could be? Quote
jazzbo Posted Thursday at 09:22 PM Report Posted Thursday at 09:22 PM The engineer doing the mastering, Matthew Lutthans, has done legitimate projects that are praised. . . that's a good sign. Quote
Holy Ghost Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago Love Pharoah, but just LP only still. Mid-seventies Pharoah may be a strange, hit-or-miss-sounding bag, mixed with post-Trane, and easier listening. Weird, how bol. seems to be using Impulse! era photos (front side of the gatefold looks like it's from Tauhid '65 and the backside looks like Karma era '68 or '70). Be curious what others think when you listen to this record. Quote

I’ve got a part of this session on the Disques Transversales label which was legitimate and from the tapes. It’s one of my favorite Pharoah Sanders sessions so curious to hear the rest but if this is a bootleg I”ll pass. Quote
mjazzg Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago It always bothered me, too much probably (I sold it on), that the Disques Transversales releases featured edited performances on some tunes. If this set is legit and rectified that I could be interested Quote

Wish there was a CD release, but alas. Quote

That really prevented me from getting it because that’s also a very interesting session. Quote
