Looks like all of the old BYG titles are being reissued on CD by Japanese labels. There are some related threads on the "Re-issues" subforum. It's more or less carpe diem because they sell out relatively fast.

I've been in Chicago since Monday, and my wallet is ready to shoot me, but after Signal Records and Reckless down the street on Milwaukee, I don't know how I am going to get through Dusty Groove without refinancing my home.

So far:

Stanley Cowell. Brilliant Circles. Freedom Japan mini LP. 

Albert Ayler. Spirits, Debut Japan mini LP (upgrade from some mid-level label I have).

Cecil Taylor. Live at the Cafe Montmartre. Freedom Japan mini LP (original cover art!)

Paul Bley. Touching. Japan mini LP ( Röling art).

Dewey Redman. Look for the Black Star. Japan mini LP (Röling art).

Gabor Szabo. Spellbinder (Verve digi pak).

Lee Konitz. At Storyville. Storyville Japan mini LP 2 CD set.

Zoot Sims and Bob Brookmeyer. Tonight's Music Today. Storyville Japan mini LP 2 CD set.

Bobby Hutcherson. Total Eclipse. BN Japan Budget (upgrade from the original CD issue).

Milt Jackson. Bag's Opus. UA/BN, not a club edition!

Jimmy Smith. At Club Baby Grand, vols I & II, BN Japan Budget

Dizzy Reece. Blues in Trinity. BN Connoisseur. Long story short, when my first daughter was 2, she spilled milk on the R's and this was one of the casualties. Bought the TOCJ because the Connie went OPP but it was missing the last three tracks. Nearly 25 years later...got it back!) 

Kai Winding. The Incredible Trombones... impulse! Japan. Have the LP sleeve framed on the wall, now I can listen to the music! (I do not have a operating turntable)

Larry Young. Young Blues. OJC. 'Nuff said.

LOLs. I may be homeless by the end of the week, but I will have the most kick-ass cd collection around!

A note about Reckless Records, it's not quite the same as it was when I was in Chicago 15 years ago. Far more care was given to CD's then now. For example, I'm sure we CD/LP collectors know that sunlight fades/ruins the colors on CD spines/covers, but Reckless is kinda', well, reckless. They put the jazz CD's right by the window, right in front of the sunshine, and the Impulse and Atlantic spines suffered the most, because of the orange and red colors. I probably would've bought more, but the damage to the CD art was already done. A shame.

In the city of Gent I saw boxes with LP’s outside in full bright sunlight at 25 degrees Celsius (77 Fahrenheit)….

Certainly a nice compilation and a nice try to (re)create a period-looking cover, but with this subtitle Bear Family shot themselves right in the foot.  
(Sez me, the collector not only of music but also of collectible cars, as well as "linguist" ). Some English native speakers will probably have wondered about what the "tuned cars" may be doing there in the title. To explain: In German, the (Anglicism) term of "Tuning" refers to hotting up an engine or car, whereas - as you in the US will certainly agree - in its original english core meaning, "tuning" just refers to setting up ("tuning up") an engine (or suspension, for that matter) properly so it works perfectly as it should. Bear Family rather ought to have written "Hopped-Up Cars" (to use a period term) here. 
Oh well ...

True, unfortunately, but CDs need not even be located right by the window to see the booklets inside the jewel cases fade over time. My music rooom that holds most of my collection has a fairly large window (and yes, "My Window Faces The South" ). But my CDs are a good 4 meters (more than 13 ft.) away from the window at the back wall of the room (and part of the CDs are on a rack at right angles to the window), and the net curtains at the window are always drawn. Yet certain colors (red, in particular, as you say) of the spines did fade. I've noticed this particularly on the Chronological Classics CDs. 
BTW, I've also noticed this on certain orange or similarly-colored LP spines. Although, as in the case of certain book dust jackets or paperback covers, I tend to put this down more to printing ink quality. Because some suffer, and some don't.

You get it! I share an office space with my wife at home, and she LOVES sunlight, which shines on my cd shelves and book cases everyday, which I know the sun is having its way with my stuff! She's a chemistry professor and researcher, yet she doesn't know the damage direct sunlight inflicts on colors that get burned out of existence?! If I had my druthers, I'd hire a team to take out that window, and replace it with a wall, so I can control the lighting.

Yes - it's like you say. Though, what puzzles me was and is that my books, records and CDs are in a room indeed lit by daylight, but not exposed to direct sunlight, except in very rare occurrences during limited periods of the year. And still they tend to fade. 
Some worse than others (FWIW, as an OT remark, I've found the covers of many books by the University of Illinois Press are particularly fade-prone).
