According to a number of musician-collaborators, the tubaist Joe Daley died on Sunday at age 75. Glad to have seen him several times over the years… and I’m thankful for his contributions.

I think I first heard him on a Taj Mahal album. Ain't gwine whistle Dixie (any mo') (live) has long been a favorite tune.
