Pim Posted yesterday at 12:23 PM Report Posted yesterday at 12:23 PM Ive noticed that studios are seldomly if not never mentioned. It always says: recorded in NYC. Did ESP Disk use the same studios for recording or is there anything known where those sessions took place? Quote
Steve Gray Posted yesterday at 12:49 PM Report Posted yesterday at 12:49 PM Judson Hall, I believe I seem to remember but I may be wrong that there is a photo of Brownie at an esp-disk session at Judson Hall Quote
B. Clugston Posted yesterday at 05:15 PM Report Posted yesterday at 05:15 PM Many were recorded at Richard Alderson’s RLA Studios, Quote

Niko Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Brownie's photos are here https://www.ayler.co.uk/html/judsonhall.html The photographer in the pictures is W Eugene Smith whose pictures from the session could include brownie but I don't think such pictures are known... Quote
Pim Posted 2 hours ago Author Report Posted 2 hours ago Thanks guys. Judson Hall was a live venue wasn't it? Ive got Noah Howards concert there. Checking my collection data now I see indeed some Frank Wright records were recorded at RLA studios. As was Carmell Jones' Jay Hawk Talkin but thats no ESP recording by any means of course. Quote
