South of Boston -snow as of 9:00 a.m., but seems to be turning to the wet kinda snow pretty fast. We've been having some strange weather here in the Boston area this year. One day, we get a spring-like tease of 55 degree weather and then it turns on ya and all of a sudden we're back to winter temps of 30 degrees.

Yup---here in the NYC/Long Island area it has so far been an incredibly warm winter. I know you shouldn't let the fairies hear you say that, but there's no getting around it. Okay by me, but this global warming is no hoax. :excl:

I have been in Moscow, Russia since the New Year, and we have been in a constant DEEP freeze, the coldest winter on record for 100 years. I walked 30 minutes to work today. BRRRRR

I think the Boston area is looking at as much, if not more than NYC. Living near the Cape, sometimes we miss getting the heavy duty snowfall. Then again, I have some pics of some serious snow surrounding our house! Last weather report I saw was calling for 8 -14 inches of snow. The other drag is that almost every time we've had either a snowstorm or some kind of high winds in the past 6 months, we've had power outages. Not fun...

Fortunately I don't have to leave the house tomorrow!

Wish I could say the same.

I'm sitting in the office as I type this.

We'll be working until late tomorrow afternoon cleaning this up.

Why the hell did I move back here? ;)

Honestly, it's not so bad, and the snow is good for business.

We're ready - plenty of food in the house, a snow blower, shovels. Now, if the power will stay on this time, we'll be in good shape! S'posed to hit outside of the Boston area sometime after midnight. I'm near the Cape and it ain't gonna be pretty. Then again, it will be pretty; just a pain in the you-know-what!

Looks like we're gonna get it pretty good.

So, is that a Catesta truck? Do you profit from other folks problems? :)

hehe :g

Just a pic I googled.

It looks about the same as what we run though. And yes, there is money to be made in snow.

I'm only learning this winter, but next year watch out, I've got big plans to take this market over. :P:cool:

The downside to all this snow crap is having to go out in it. I guess I could just let the guys go and call them from time to time, but right now it only seems fair that I'm around with them.

Although I don't think they give a shit. There happy as can be. Snow removal on the weekends and after hours pays big bucks.

This one will be bad enough for me to have to get in a truck and plow.

Just started here on Long Island with a light dusting. If it hurries up the most of it will be on its way to you in New England.

You must be out east a ways?

I'm in Garden City and it's been snowing on and off since around 5:00 PM. The grass is covered, but it's not anyhwere near sticking to the roads yet.

I haven't been to "Old Country Road" in a long time! :)

Same in Passaic.

My gig got cancelled and I'm glad. I wasn't looking forward to the ride home.

My Mom's boyfriend already got a sub for his Sunday brunch gig in Boston (we live about 35 miles south of Boston.

Glad you didn't have to drive.

Right now I share an office with some people close to Old Country Road and even closer to Nassau Community College.
