sidewinder Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 37C in Southern England forecast for tomorrow. I'm at the Farnborough Air Show so I'll probably fry on the tarmac.. Quote
catesta Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 97.4! With the heat indeax they say it feels like 104. Should be much cooler tomorrow. Quote
chris olivarez Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 Got up to 93 the other day which for here is hot. At 7000 feet above sea level you seem to feel that sun a bit more. Quote
Big Wheel Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 It's a toasty 63 tonight in SF. It's a lot warmer in the South Bay during the day, though. I'm definitely not used to needing a light jacket when I leave the house in the morning, then getting to work and having it be in the 80s. I miss the humidity that comes with having a real summer, too. Quote
ep1str0phy Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 WC is burning. Had to nix a trip to 29 Palms with my sweetheart 'cause the heat is in the triple digits--oh, and shit is getting struck by lightnin'. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 After a few days of extreme heat, it turned cool and rainy yesterday - only fourpence ha'penny worth of rain, so I still had to water the garden. I don't think it was like that elsewhere in Britain - it does rain more here than anywhere else. Looks like hot again today, though it's still a bit overcast this morning. MG Quote

kinuta Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 Dreadful. This years rainy season has lasted since the 2nd week in May and it's still bleedin' raining. I'm sick of it. Quote

sidewinder Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 They were spraying water on the runway at Farnborough Air Show the other day before the air show started. Must be hot ! Quote

Ken Dryden Posted July 21, 2006 Report Posted July 21, 2006 Hot, humid, with rain that never lasts long enough, so I'm heading to New Orleans next week. Quote

Free For All Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 I was in north Texas last week and it was in the 105 degree range all week long. It hits you hard when you walk outside from an air conditioned building! I was going to bring back a bunch of leftover Shiner Bocks but they would have had to sit in my parked car for several hours (I was afraid they might 'splode), so I gave 'em away. When I drove back to KC yesterday the temperature went from 107 to 67. Quote
catesta Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 Cloudy with on and off rain and temps around 80. Quote
Big Wheel Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 Whoa...it really IS hot here today. I'm amazed to see the mercury hit 90 within San Francisco. As a Miami native, I'm hardly complaining, though. Quote
skeith Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 This is the worst NYC summer in the about 20 years I have been here, almost the whole time it has rained and even when not it has been full of dark clouds. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 Freezing! ... and if you believe THAT, Noj has a freeway in Santa Monica he'll sell you, too. Oh really... But Noj was wearing a thick anorak... MG Quote
kinuta Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 Dreadful Blade Runner weather . Humid as hell, leaden skies, never ending rain. so dark in the mornings I have to turn on the lights. Quote
ep1str0phy Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 Portions of LA's San Fernando Valley are blacked out. Many, many power grids (including may family's) are out. The power company can't keep up (there's probably a class action suit just over the horizon). We've had to rent a secondary residence (read: hotel) to sleep through the night. Quote
