Cecil Taylor, Buell Neidlinger, Dennis Charles, Archie Shepp. I love this album. I was playing this very edition yesterday. Love it. Dont have that record, but the Japanese Candid LPs I have are the best sounding Candids I know (don't have any Candid originals, unflortunately) and the pressings are great, obviously. As far as I can tell, this album came out on Tabby's own Blue Beat label in 1984, and on Maison de Soul a year later. The backing band includes Henry Gray and a very young Chris Thomas King. Very different groups to say the least. This one is good enough to make me consider re-engage with Braxton's music. Paris Concert comes across as a real group effort.
