I messaged him in February and he said that we was fine and was "taking a break."   Hopefully, he'll return at some point.

Well, here's another one. Any word as to how Mr. Stapleton is doing? Sincerely hoping that retirement is treating him well, and vice-versa.

I'm more than eight years into retirement. I took to it right away. ;)

I'm getting used to it. Not had any problems with it so far....

When I retired, I hadn't prepared myself, and when I walked out the door for the last time I felt somewhat overwhelmed. It took a 25 minute drive home for me to get over that. By then, I was ready to enjoy retirement and the fact that I didn't have to get  up and go to work five days a week. I've never looked back.

Still too far in the distance for me... but also looking forward to facing it when it comes... :)

Twentyfive years here.  Redundant at 50.   Took my pension and haven't looked back.

That's great John. It was 53 for me. . . worked enough years with the state of Texas to get full retirement. A blessing.

Oh you lucky devils! I still have around 22-23 years to go before I can retire :(

I've been self employed for about 25 years and gradually faded into semi retirement several years ago.

I work, used in it's loosest sense, about six hours a week.

Retirement suits me fine. I never get bored and seem to have adjusted well.

Consider yourself lucky that you're young.

What are pensions?

That would be the cash handed over to those who have retired by those who can never retire.
