    Steve Lacy

I’d like to create one in jazzdisco.org style. I’ll make it as complete as possible. @mhatta is it true that you’re connected to that website? If so is there interest in a Steve Lacy disco? I don’t know that one.

  12. Hamilton 28....Edmonton 24 The Elks almost won. The Ticats scored a touchdown late to take the lead, and then the Elks receiver dropped a perfect pass in the goal area. https://www.cfl.ca/2025/08/02/recap-hamilton-28-edmonton-24/ https://www.cfl.ca/2025/08/02/ticats-hold-off-elks-behind-bo-levi-mitchells-three-tds/ https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/video/flutie-congratulates-mitchell-for-passing-him-on-cfls-all-time-p~3179695 https://3downnation.com/2025/08/02/hamilton-tiger-cats-qb-bo-levi-mitchell-passes-doug-flutie-on-all-time-cfl-passing-list/ https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/tiger-cats-outlast-struggling-elks-for-sixth-straight-win-1.2342330 https://3downnation.com/2025/08/03/hamilton-tiger-cats-weather-the-storm-in-edmonton-nine-other-thoughts/ https://3downnation.com/2025/08/03/edmonton-elks-come-up-just-short-yet-again-in-loss-to-ticats-five-other-thoughts/ https://cflnewshub.com/cfl-news/cfl-scores-today-hamilton-tiger-cats-28-edmonton-elks-24-mitchell-leads-ticats-to-sixth-straight-win/ https://www.cfl.ca/2025/08/02/3-stats-that-defined-hamiltons-week-9-win-over-edmonton/ ***** Sask 34....Montreal 6 The Als were never in it. https://www.cfl.ca/2025/08/03/recap-saskatchewan-34-montreal-6/ https://www.cfl.ca/2025/08/02/riders-dominate-als-in-seventh-win-of-season/ https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/roughriders-soar-past-alouettes-in-cfl-power-clash-1.2342385 https://3downnation.com/2025/08/03/montreal-alouettes-dominated-at-home-by-riders-might-consider-qb-change-10-other-thoughts/ https://3downnation.com/2025/08/03/saskatchewan-roughriders-bring-the-thunder-in-lightning-delayed-win-over-alouettes-six-other-thoughts/ https://pifflespodcast.com/blog/riders-steamroll-alouettes-enter-bye-on-a-high/ https://pifflespodcast.com/blog/riderville-roundup-august-3-2025/ https://cflnewshub.com/cfl-news/cfl-scores-today-saskatchewan-roughriders-34-montreal-alouettes-6-riders-dominate-in-montreal/ https://www.cfl.ca/2025/08/02/3-stats-that-defined-saskatchewans-week-9-win-over-montreal/

  14. Brilliant record, right along with this one: Happy birthday! Edit, to ask Chuck in particular, do you know where Roscoe came up with the word, "Congliptious"? Never heard this word in use anywhere else; is it a made up word or something?
  15. Pops is going to be 124 years old tomorrow so I’m getting ready with Side 1 of this 2 LP set, three great tracks of Louis. “Newport Jazz Festival: Live (Unreleased Highlights From 1956, 1958, 1963)” Columbia 2 LP set. Followed by a track by Rex Stewart and one by Ben Webster.
  16. Finally finished the Beethoven box. The early & middle sets flew right by, but for the first time in my experience, the Late Quartets proved to be draining. Not in a bad way, just...intense. I pulled up both the Emerson & Busch Quartets' versions on Spotify and in the end, they left some energy in the mind. It was only 3 CDs, but Juilliard left me with nothing in the tank after each one. I do not know what they did, or if the "should" have done it, but they did, and it did not sound "wrong". It was just a matter of not leaving anything on the table, I guess. It's difficult music to be sure, and maybe disguising that difficulty did not seem honest. Summer With The Juilliard Quartet continues with something more "difficult" but a lot more "fun" set: YEE-HA!!!!
