CDs that you know you have but cannot locate right now ....
felser replied to mikeweil's topic in Miscellaneous Music
I have sections for sorted regular CD's (by artist within genre, with separate shelving for Blue Note, Strata-East, and a few other labels), for box sets (unsorted), for oversized digipaks which are not compatible with my main shelving (by artist within genre), but also some stacks of not-yet-shelved CD's, and many stacks of secondary/discard CD's in the basement. So I sometimes need to look a lot of places to see if I have a title. I always meant to make an excel list of everything I have, location, etc. during my retirement years, but life ended up throwing some curves, and I have a lot of (good) post-retirement responsibilities for family members that I had not anticipated. -

Truly a flawed hero, but embracing one does not deny the other. Indeed, he was somebody. We all are, none more or less than anybody else. -

Very sad end, and feels like the closing of an era. RIP. -
They have a massive warehouse (10 minutes from my house,I drive by it frequently) and come by big boxes of products. I ordered several MIG Rockpalast CD/DVD sets from them, received them, and they were new and still sealed, totally legit, and played fine. One warning, they do not combine shipping on ebay orders. They've been around for decades.

Now: Frank Butler - Wheelin' and Dealin' (Xanadu, rec. 1978) It's great fun to hear both Teddy Edwards and Joe Farrell in the front line.

When Hackman died I intended to finally open up the DVD I had purchased at a Walmart for $5 to finally watch The Conversation. Realizing that Duvall was in it also makes me want to finally follow thru all the more. RIP.

One of the last great movie actors! If you have the chance watch him as "Boss Spearman" in Kevin Costner´s exellent late Western "Open Range" (2003). R.I.P.

Sad news. But a relief I am sure to those who loved hm and cared for him. It's so sad to see someone you love reduced that sort of existence. I wish I didn't know that. -
Now on to the second disc. Bill Evans “Inner Spirit: The 1979 Concert At The Teatro General San Martin” Resonance 2 cd set, disc 2
