Steve Turre has been on the label for a while now. The one I like best is Colors of the Masters.

It is the rebranded Celebrity Series. Although I have appreciated their jazz programming almost all of the events are overpriced. I'm going to the Kris Davis Trio tonight in Cambridge. I don't know the backstory about the change but I've been a bit disappointed with their jazz events over the last few years.

Henderson died about a year later. Hutcherson lasted quite a while after that but was already having health problems then and was using oxygen when I saw him and got badly out of breath while playing. Nevertheless both played well.

Brew Moore – Brew Moore This is the only Brew Moore record I have heard that really explains the cult status of Brew Moore to me. C'est un corkeur. Encore un corkeur. I bought a copy of Jazz Goes College in Eastbourne a year or so ago and my wife was giggling all the way home that I had bought a Brubeck record. I get my own back every time I put it on and she invariably says how much she loves it and asks me what it is.

It does have a high hit rate. I know there are lots of fans on this forum. The ones that I have enjoyed most have been: Bobby Watson, Vincent Herring and Gary Bartz - Bird at 100 Buster Williams - Unalome Joe Farnsworth - Time To Swing Joe Farnsworth - In What Direction Are You Headed? Orrin Evans - The Magic of Now Something Else! Featuring Vincent Herring - Soul Jazz Vincent Herring - Preaching to the Choir This shallow, but I also really like the high gloss photographs on the covers.

Karl Berger is one of the finest of vibists. Wish list hinges on whether anything else ever gets released on CD. NP Wife is loving it!

Presently I'm listening to the Joe Farnsworth album City of Sounds, which features Kenny Barron and Peter Washington. I was kind of curious as to what are some of your favorite releases from the label? I definitely would like to do a deeper dive. Thank you!
