Sounds great, I have an album with the same group live at Onkel Pö´s (Germania) Must be nice. From the cover it looks like those legendary Black Lion albums of Americans in Paris, in the 60´s. I have some of them: One Dexter Gordon, one Bud Powell, and one Don Byas if I remember right.

Can Blue Note contracts be obtained this way as well?

Disc 2 of this treasure trove, which includes the set with Chet Baker and Miles Davis (which has been issued before, iirc, but most of the music on this L.A. Jazz Institute collection has not) A classic! Gotta revisit that one soon.

This thread reminded me that I was contacted by soneone who had a recording of Don Cherry at Cornell in 1991 and he was wondering how to get in touch with the estate. I need to reply to him. Is this a recording that is widely circulated? It is not listed on the website above, but it must be a Multi Kulti gig.

I think I have one from Japan from that time, with Rivers, maybe Tokyo, and it also has a distorted sound at the beginning, I think the tune is "If I were a Bell", something is not okay with the sound for a moment.....

Hadn't heard Undercurrents by Bill Evans & Jim Hall in years and couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it this week! Made me feel so good!
