  2. Slight price reduction. Last day to get a great deal on an excellent Mosaic box set. Thanks. The Blue Note Stanley Turrentine Quintet/Sextet Studio Sessions 5 CD, Mosaic, 2002 Limited Edition of 5000 numbered copies (this is copy # 3065). Everything is in excellent condition - outer box, CDs, jewel cases, large booklet. There is just some very minor rubbing to about a 1/4" piece of the mid left side edge of the front cover paste-on photo. I had not even noticed that until now but wanted to mention any minor issue at all. It is a nice copy. $69 (+ $10 media mail shipping). U.S. shipping only. Payment by pay pal friends/family. I will pack this carefully (wrapped in bubble wrap), ship it in a sturdy box, and provide a postal tracking # after shipping.

  4. Me too. Had not played this in maybe ten years, Rather simple blues riff tunes among the originals, but the feel and groove was much more lively than I remembered. And Wes always delivered fine solos.
  5. Pianist Mike Wofford, the husband of flautist Holly Hofmann, as well as her musical partner, died on September 19 at the age of 87. I was fortunate to hear both of them playing together twice, co-leading a quartet and in the unique group Flutology at IAJE.
  6. I was pleasantly surprised at how "non-commercial" this "commercial" music was.
  7. Ole Matthiessen - Portraits, Poems & Places (Stunt)
  8. 👍 - as CD with five additional tracks on my shelf!

  11. I thought it was my connection. Glass fiber below the road, but the old thin copper telephone cables from there, for forty apartments. But other sites load as always.
  12. Our new family member Memphis.
  13. A swinging start to a cool Sunday morning. Kevin Hays “Go Round” Blue Note cd
  14. (👍) - Too bad I don't have this CD, but I saw the trio live as the rhythm section of 'The Cookers' at the 'Theaterstübchen' in Kassel. Unfortunately, they only played two pieces as a trio - but they were wonderful!
  15. When I woke up this morning, even before getting out of bed, I thought, Today is the last Saturday of September. And then I immediately thought, Darn! I missed the Grand Final. Oh well.
