A couple of good 70's Charles Earland LP's, some good Joe Bonner albums, some primo Don Patterson, and an Eric Kloss LP with Hannibal Peterson are high on my list if they ever offer them on CD or reasonably priced digital.

Wouldn't necessarily count on that. The Joe Henderson CD was similarly overpriced no matter where you looked. Hard not to feel like this is related to them having such success getting people to shell out for the Tone Poet LPs.

I saw this and have to admit I did not think she would have been my age (well, in another 33 days). As I think about it though it might be that "What's Happening" was watched mostly in syndication in the 80s, producing the illusion that she was younger than she was. RIP, and sympathy to Mr. Pelt.

Danielle Spencer, typically acknowledged as the first female back child actress, has died at the age of 60. Her breakout role was as Dee in the TV show 'What's Happening!!', which aired from 1976-79 on ABC. She left television to become a veterinarian. Her brother is Jazz trumpeter Jeremy Pelt.

It is always a large treat to have more recordings by Horace Silver issued.

Blue Note doesn't delay the CD. It's also available for pre-order... for $19.98 for a single CD! In this day and age, putting a $20 price tag on a CD is ridiculous. Next they'll complain that no one is buying CDs anymore.
