Mixed feelings about the orchestra side, I get that. But that quartet side is something else again!
-
Haven't heard it in just about a couple decades, I would gladly grab a copy next time I see it around. But I too remember having mixed feelings.
-
I just mentioned it because I was reading in the NYT about drones, they answered a series of reader questions about them and one was what about shooting them down. I think it also said that your drone operator has to be in sight of the drone at all times, so how exactly is Amazon doing this in a cost effective manner, I wonder. I mean is it that much easier to pull in a development and dispatch drones for the Last Mile?

I've got some neighbors who are pretty aggressive 2nd amendment types. Like REALLY aggressive. It would be the randomness of any shots that would worry me. Greetings from Texas.
-
Anyone who shoots at a drone is guilty of a Federal crime. You'd be pretty stupid to do that though I imagine that it might be hard to know who did it if you don't also have eyes on the property from whence the shots come.

I also have CDrs that are over 30 years old with no deterioration. In fact I have never experienced any deterioration in any CDs or CDrs.

Anybody else have one of these for sale?? - Today

Anybody else getting emails touting the current availability of a drone delivery option from Amazon on many items? I worry about gunshots from some of my more...paranoid?....neighbors. But I admit to finding it just a little odd to think about. Odd, but maybe cool too.

I like it a very lot, especially the quartet side. Top-shelf imo. That mouthpiece? Maybe a metal Selmer?

Whaat's the source of the Deep South Suite?

Thanks. IIRC (and again, I often don't), Vertigo was also shot in VistaVision and I saw it screened at the Academy's Goldwyn Theater several years ago.

Jazz musicians in TV commercials. Can you recall any?

When I see people at a record store who are getting so excited they can buy, say, Led Zeppelin albums on CD for only 3 or 4 Euro, these are usually people under 25... People above 50 own these albums already if they wish to and they can also afford them on LP... And I do see these young people with some regularity... But I doubt that selling CDs to this demographic is by itself profitable enough to keep the shop open ... And there's a good chance that they will switch to LPs (or stop boycotting spotify) when they are over 30... What drives these people to CDs is only the price..

I recall an interview with Billy Butler, and his story was in line with Doggett's. I think it was Jazz Journal and I think it was Billy Butler?
-
Haven't listened in a good while. Mixed feelings when I did listen to it.
