Star Bright would be a great introduction to Dizzy Reece for anyone on the fence about the Mosaic set.

For me it was a "no brainer". The Jazz Messenger date helped form the next ten years of the music and is one of the "fathers" of the current obsession with the hard bop era.

The new owners are trying to "maximize" their investment in a hurry. No too different from Concord and the Fantasy treasure.

No interview with Roscoe (a big minus) but for me the words of Lester are worth the price of the book. I DO fear those not knowing Lester will be put off by his comments but you should remember he had a great sense of humor. I enjoy the book a bunch but have "special circumstances". For personal reasons, I wouldn't be without the book.

Anyone noticed how many spine cut/notched/promos are available from Amazon Marketplace?

Used to have "You Leave Me Breathless" on lp and never bought "Live Vol 2" 'cause the title track was missing and (I assumed) they duplicated Harvey and Wee from "The Man I Love". I may reconsider if the last two mentioned are alternates.

Was the "TRUE STEREO" pressing done at a later date? Maybe a month later. Bob couldn't afford to press both at the same time.
