  4. I resolve to make it to next year.
  5. You might have said that 400 paragraphs earlier.
  6. I consider that question totally irrelevant Not to the question at hand. Remember the topic.
  7. I just never warmed to Abercrombie's sound. Since he just dialed it up on his instrument, I blame him. Can anyone name a great solo by him? Not a record date but a single performance.

  9. That was my first reaction as well. Is Mosaic entering the recording/production business? yes.
  10. Hope this makes OC happy. Beyond that it don't mean shit.
  11. I'd guess they have tons of good live material but they think another studio date will best represent the Organissimo they want to sell.
  12. Music is my life. WTF do I need some calendar? I just want something in a readable font that is convenient.

  14. Alan Braufman - Valley of Search Arnold Dreyblatt - Nodal Excitation Anthony Davis - Lady of the Mirrors Hamiet Bluiett - Birthright Arthur Blythe - The Grip Assume the Yoshi Wada is good; never had it... for some reason, the Revolutionary Ensemble on IN never got to me, though I do stand by other sessions of theirs. Hell, what about Of the Cosmos Records? Gimme a break. The catalog was much wider than that. I might not agree with all the choices but Bob was a good producer and helped the music more that most at the time. For a couple of years I have been thinking about starting a thread about him and his work. Rest in peace Bob Cummins, one of the real people in the background.
  15. Yup. Any Bach heirs here to collect? What a dickhead.
  16. Certainly not "many, many different kinds of music" in your list.
  17. If Delmark ever issues a Howlin' Wolf cd Bob may tell of Wolf saving us again. He'll never tell of the guy with a gun at Turner's during a JB Hutto gig.
  18. Yup. Ann was there too - table right in front of the stage. Must have been around 1968.
  19. Probably why this thread was started. My responses are too complex to type without much thought but I might return.

  22. I always felt this cover fit the times but not the record. Maybe you had to be there.
