  1. I always had a soft spot for the Buster Bailey.
  2. Keep the band away from the bride. Best wishes for all.
  3. He's very fine on these. In fact, mention of them made me pull out Bones for the King. It will hit the turntable later today.

The EP came with the 2 lp set.
  7. For "Masquerade is Over", you gotta love Nancy Wilson and Cannonball! ← No I don't.
  8. Sounds like a great evening. I envy you hearing GW and Hadley together. Thanks for the post.
  9. I don't think so.................. I didn't like this before most of you could recognize music.
  10. Must be really depressing.
  11. I made the mistake of thinking "Masquerade is Over" and wondered WTF. In that case, Jug always wins.
  12. Will those Edwards tracks ever be reissued?
  13. Since time of issue, I've had UAJ mono, UAJ stereo, '70s UA reissue, first US cd reissue and now the current cd reissue. For my ears, the latest 24 bit BN cd (with a total of 15 tracks) sounds best and the added material is more than dandy. Have not had any of the nostalgia/repro vinyl issues.
  14. No mention of his great work with Johnny Carisi! I suggest searching for the Bluebird cd called "The Arrangers" and the Impulse date called "Into the Hot". Barry plays his ass off on these and both contain Carisi's chart called "Barry's Tune". All that said, he's most important as an ensemble player, not as a soloist. He always adds to the energy of any date he's on.
  15. George Freeman - New Improved Funk on Groove Merchant.
  16. I think I have all the Ashlee & Evelyn records.
  17. Many thanks.
  18. Those were all early releases and the pics were taken by the first wife. I do know this.
  19. I was unaware "Peaceful Side" had been on cd in the US. Do you know the catalog number or upc?
  20. I say leave 'em for someone who wants 'em.
  21. I certainly meant no disrespect and have sung HG's praises and defended you personally many times. I'm more than pleased to hear of the "recovery" he's experienced since I spent time with you. All the best to the two of you and thanks for the "Dear, wonderful Chuck", that felt good.
  22. Wish I could be there.
