  1. Thanks. Same free (non-domestic discounts apply) shipping deal.
  2. My current BMG offer puts this puppy in my house for a grand total of $34.76.
  3. I just ran a search on Bruyninckx and found him playing a "dixie" festival in Manassas, VA on December 3/4, 1977. These listings are with Billy Butterfield and Maxine Sullivan. The material was issued on Fat Cat.
  4. I have noticed Melvin before and remember your interest when you were here. Responding to your email publicly, the price is $15 and if you send a check I will cash it now - I need it (to make this happen, I just spent $2000 I don't have and want to send Warne's widow a check. If you send plastic info, I will hit the account when I ship. Legalities, or I'd hit it right now!
  5. Just went to my bookmarks, clicked on the site and it is gone. Maybe someone on the Saturn list has the email address.
  6. You HAVE to know I'm in a very good mood. Any particular reason? I have now spilled the beans in another thread.
  7. If nothing goes wrong ( ) my reissue of Warne Marsh's ALL MUSIC (plus bonus tracks) will be out the week of March 15. As I posted in another thread, we will be gone from March 5 - March 14. List members can order for the usual free US shipping (discounts for others). If interested, contact me at cnessa@earthlink.net.
  8. Ann and I will be spending a week in Williamsburg (March 6-13). We have never been to the area and are overwhelmed by the stuff we find by Googling. Any advice would be appreciated. If any list members are in the area, meetings would be nice too.
  9. Read the fucking book. Dr J spoke the truth. Take a chance, if you can stop typing. It must be in the library. You won't even have to pay the author!
  10. You HAVE to know I'm in a very good mood.
  11. And yet peacocks, which have many plumes extruding from their posteriors, are considered quite dignified. Oh the irony. Peacocks can take a crap and keep the plumage.
  12. It was recorded in a NYC studio. Brandon, I had no idea you grew up in a NYC studio. Actually, that explains quite a bit, now that I think of it. Actually a number of Brandon's "countrymen" think Manhattan is in Kansas.
  13. "On A Misty Night" is the main reason I'm happy it's only a quartet.
  14. It was recorded in a NYC studio. Of course. Thanks Chuck. as was "At the Five Spot".
  15. It was recorded in a NYC studio.
  16. Back in 2000 when "At the Five Spot" was announced, I asked Ben Young (producer of the reissue) if "In Kansas City" was planned. He said "not currently". He said they decided the Five Spot name had more commercial potential than Kansas City. He did say it was unfortunate because there was "a bunch of extras" from the KC date.
  17. Well, I got an enigmatic reply from Ira: "Ah, you see, I never mentioned a trumpet."
  18. And your choice of weapons?
  19. Where's the beer opener. Guess I will opt for the the Exabyte transfer since I can't locate the RVG master right now.
  20. I suggest starting with "Kenton Showcase". It is from the '53/54 era and has arrangements by Russo and Holman. This is a good example with some fine soloists. Then, if interested, move forwards and backwards - one step at a time.
  21. Please don't tell me you are still stuck with Detroit iron?
  22. Stick it in your ear.
  23. WHATEVER! This is a fine disc.
  24. So now we have a silly girl.
