If you still haven't figured out the clues in the thread, Suzy Creamcheese was a groupie from Frank Zappa's early daze with the Mothers Of Invention.. She was introduced on the "Freak Out" album and is mentioned in some detail in Frank Zappa's autobiography, "The Real Frank Zappa Book" ... By the way, Wednesday, the 21st is Frank Zappa's birthday and there is an annual birthday bash in GR I will be attending. The whole house is all Zappa's music, videos, displayed album covers, lots of posters, and the kitchen is the "dangerous kitchen" with an "uncle meat tray" of sandwich meats, along with lots of "barking pumpkin pies".. When you walk in, you're handed a Zappa trivia quiz of usually 18 or 20 tough guestions, and if you're ambitious, the answers can be found in a number of books, constantly playing videos, or magazines full of FZ articles & interviews throughout the house.. The house is easy to find. Just look for the little brick house with the Xmas tree lights on the roof spelling "ZAPPA"...

Yoshi's could be a little tricky... They book well known national & international acts and we're still fairly unknown around the nation.. I used to live in Oakland from Dec 1985 - Sept 1989.. I love that place!

Like maybe a Klezmer rendition of Jingle Bells? I will have to wait and get a cd burn from Jim. I still have dial up modem and just one tune takes an avarage of 30 minutes to load..

My guess is if it happens it would be sometime in the spring. There's a jazz booking agency in Baltimore. The agency handles Dave Liebman, Paul Bollenbeck, Herb Ellis, Jimmy Bruno, Greg Hatza, and many others. The booker is interested in us and would be able to help us organize an east coast tour.

For some it's been frustrating trying to figure it out.. Here's a suggestion for anyone interested in the live chat; Click on "live chat". It's at the top of the page on the right After live chat loads, open the control panel (3rd icon from the right) and check mark the sound boxes in the settings feature. This will turn on sound features alerting you to others entering, exiting, and posting in the chatroom. This way if there's no one else but you in live chat, you can simply minimize live chat and do other other things online and the sounds will alert you when others enter, exit, or post .. You can also change font style & size, and even choose a screen color for your window. And there's even wacky sounds you can use! Come on ya'll, what are you waiting for? It's a great way to meet and greet other members..

privately I have been among those warning you for being all too lenient on the content of the postings. Maybe *all* possibly offensive stuff should be in the politics forum with a warning that does not need a click of the mouse to be read. I don't know either, but these are the same people who have asked you stuff, make links work, add a blue colour scheme and those smileys we're so fond of. Have a go at the Chat in the upper right corner to get an idea of the appreciation of this site out there. People will be wanting to help, just not out in the open. Really, people like this site but are not willing to expose their opinion to the scrutiny of the powers that be here. Sounds silly, is not. Give them a chance by simply asking. I agree with Couw.

It's almost invisible and easy to miss.... Several members have found it, but many members have missed it.. Check it out. It's sometimes a party! And it's a great opportunity for members to hang out and chat

Hmmm .. I went in the chatroom, minimized the window and went to the forums to see if the chatroom was there and it wasn't even though I was in there ..

Earlier there was a window for the chatroom down by the users list between birthdays & board staitics, listing who was in there. Now it's disappeared from the forums. How dio I get that feature back?
