"Lowe pleaded guilty this afternoon in Guilford County Superior Court to six counts each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of ecstasy as part of a plea deal in connection with a series of events surrounding a March 16 home invasion. He also entered an Alford plea on a charge of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and possession of a weapon on educational property in a March 24, 2007, shooting at UNCG. An Alford plea means he does not admit guilt but acknowledges the state has enough evidence to convict him. Lowe is the son of North Carolina State men's basketball coach Sidney Lowe. Lowe agreed to accept the state's plea deal on Sunday, his attorney Locke Clifford said. Court proceedings on the case began at 3 p.m. and at 5 p.m. officials anticipated that sentencing in the case would carry over into Tuesday morning. A Cary psychiatrist testified for the defense that Lowe suffers from a dependency on marijuana and ecstasy. Clifford would not say why Lowe had decided to accept the plea deal. He was originally charged with 20 counts in the two incidents."

actually a lot of that '70s production is lush and interesting - sorta like the funk sountracks on those old blaxpoloitation movies - good stuff and in many cases related to the whole idea of the soundtrack, even when it isnt actually a soundtrack - and let's face it, Soulstream, nobody can get enough of Hot Dog

I'd forgotten about that place - I think I went there in the early 1990s; Sevada was such a crank that I never bought anything, and he had a tendency to tell you things were in great shape when they weren't - at one point he sold a whole lot of Jimmy Dorsey 78s to a record company guy who sent them to me to transfer them for a reissue - Sevada had told the record company guy they were in pristine condition but they were a mess; I was able to improve them, but not well enough for a decent reissue - and the guy had spent a fair amount of money on them - I love the music business -

as someone who has currently about 3000 LPS and 3000 CDs and who is looking around to donate, I think the tax deduction/donation thing is a good idea -
