  1. Except that up until the recent shipping changes, at least, each booklet had been hand-numbered at the time of shipment to the customer, using a number generated in sequential order by the computer system and appearing on the computer-generated invoice. This was explained to our very own Brad in an email from Mosaic that has been quoted here several times over the past few years. Last I recall, however, Hans had emailed Scott Wenzel asking if this was still the system, and had not yet received a reply. Hans? I never got a reply from Scott about that - which is unusual for him, I might add. They're probably sick of this question (just a guess ) You should email him again and tell him that it keeps coming up on the Board, and we need a definitive answer!

  3. Oscar Peterson, "Debut: The Clef/Mercury Duo Recordings 1949-1951" (Verve/Hip-O Select) with Ray Brown/Major Holley
  4. How hard could it be? I mean, after all, Paul (Free For All) plays it!
  5. Ella Fitzgerald, "Twelve Nights In Hollywood" (Verve/Hip-O Select)
  6. The Groovadelphia pad will always be open to you guys, individually or together.
  7. John Coltrane, "The Heavyweight Champion--The Complete Atlantic Recordings" (Rhino/Atlantic)
  8. ANY price is too high for those sets. There--I've said it.
  9. Yep. Just checked on my iPod (a transfer from my Mosaic set), and it sounds as if it's a split-second of another recording intruding into this one. Through the iPod ear buds, the "trumpet" is in the left channel, and the underlying mono recording seems to disappear for that brief, stereo moment. I suspect that it's a Mosaic mastering glitch, or perhaps a pressing glitch that only shows up in later production runs.
  10. Well, he wasn't doing carpentry his last 3 years, so those hands had plenty of time to heal. And get manicures.
  11. Definitely NOT the hands of a carpenter.
  12. Lon's a big fan of the Hermans:
  13. Goddamn lawyers.
  14. Should be. Of course, if Hans hears back from Scott, we'll have the definitive answer.
  15. Jim hittin' the outlets--and of course, LL Bean. Watch out for that Lowe character--he's a maniac.
  16. Another year? In that case I can hardly believe the numbering is sequential, with mixedupfiles' set being in the high 7400s and the total number being 7500. Hans, since you seem to be in touch with Scott on a regular basis, could you ask him about this? Up until recently, at least, the big boxes were definitely numbered in the sequence in which they were shipped--based on Mosaic's email to Brad, and also based on the numbers people have posted here for soon-to-be OOP sets that they just purchased. Perhaps this has changed? Or perhaps mixedupfiles' Mobley number is, well, mixed up? Given the recent outsourcing of shipping operations, who knows?
  17. It's a 7,500 set. However, we still haven't gotten verification from mixedupfiles that his set is really #7479. With that number, the Mobley should already be in "Running Low," if not "Last Chance."
  18. Didn't know you played! When will "Ronadelphia" be released? To tell the truth, my Privia has probably been played more by Jim than it has by me.
  19. Then this is your lucky day, 'cause I was able to find it--yet again. http://www.organissi...ndpost&p=255876 Bottom line: big boxes are sequentially assigned a number as they're sold and shipped, meaning that anyone still wanting the Mobley set better grab it pronto.
  20. No, MG--they DO number the big boxes consecutively. It's the Selects, when they were individually numbered, that weren't numbered consecutively (of course, the newer Selects aren't numbered at all). It was Brad who initially posted about this several years ago, after receiving an email from Mosaic about it. I've linked to that post several times over the years, but I'll see if I can find it yet again.
  21. Nice shots of the Privia. Dude, just admit that the only reason you're playing one of those is 'cause you know that I have one.
  22. If that number is correct, then this set should be hitting "Running Low" or "Last Chance" in the very near future. Are you sure that first digit is a "7"?
  23. Hey Goofus, look at the last post in that thread (by MR X, himself). And in terms of sticking to your own threads like this one, don't get our hopes up and make promises that you know you can't keep.
  24. Here's the link to hear samples and purchase: CD Baby page
