  1. Yep. Just checked on my iPod (a transfer from my Mosaic set), and it sounds as if it's a split-second of another recording intruding into this one. Through the iPod ear buds, the "trumpet" is in the left channel, and the underlying mono recording seems to disappear for that brief, stereo moment. I suspect that it's a Mosaic mastering glitch, or perhaps a pressing glitch that only shows up in later production runs.
  2. Well, he wasn't doing carpentry his last 3 years, so those hands had plenty of time to heal. And get manicures.
  3. Definitely NOT the hands of a carpenter.
  4. Lon's a big fan of the Hermans:
  5. Goddamn lawyers.
  6. Should be. Of course, if Hans hears back from Scott, we'll have the definitive answer.
  7. Jim hittin' the outlets--and of course, LL Bean. Watch out for that Lowe character--he's a maniac.
  8. Another year? In that case I can hardly believe the numbering is sequential, with mixedupfiles' set being in the high 7400s and the total number being 7500. Hans, since you seem to be in touch with Scott on a regular basis, could you ask him about this? Up until recently, at least, the big boxes were definitely numbered in the sequence in which they were shipped--based on Mosaic's email to Brad, and also based on the numbers people have posted here for soon-to-be OOP sets that they just purchased. Perhaps this has changed? Or perhaps mixedupfiles' Mobley number is, well, mixed up? Given the recent outsourcing of shipping operations, who knows?
  9. It's a 7,500 set. However, we still haven't gotten verification from mixedupfiles that his set is really #7479. With that number, the Mobley should already be in "Running Low," if not "Last Chance."
  10. Didn't know you played! When will "Ronadelphia" be released? To tell the truth, my Privia has probably been played more by Jim than it has by me.
  11. Then this is your lucky day, 'cause I was able to find it--yet again. http://www.organissi...ndpost&p=255876 Bottom line: big boxes are sequentially assigned a number as they're sold and shipped, meaning that anyone still wanting the Mobley set better grab it pronto.
  12. No, MG--they DO number the big boxes consecutively. It's the Selects, when they were individually numbered, that weren't numbered consecutively (of course, the newer Selects aren't numbered at all). It was Brad who initially posted about this several years ago, after receiving an email from Mosaic about it. I've linked to that post several times over the years, but I'll see if I can find it yet again.
  13. Nice shots of the Privia. Dude, just admit that the only reason you're playing one of those is 'cause you know that I have one.
  14. If that number is correct, then this set should be hitting "Running Low" or "Last Chance" in the very near future. Are you sure that first digit is a "7"?
  15. Hey Goofus, look at the last post in that thread (by MR X, himself). And in terms of sticking to your own threads like this one, don't get our hopes up and make promises that you know you can't keep.
  16. Here's the link to hear samples and purchase: CD Baby page
  17. Not symphonies or orchestral, but I've been acquiring Ronald Brautigam's ongoing series of Beethoven piano sonatas on fortepiano (BIS Hybrid SACD) as they've come out. Seven volumes released so far, and the eighth should come out some time this year to complete the sonatas. Based on the title of the series ("Complete Works for Solo Piano"), I assume that they'll follow up with other volumes of Beethoven solo piano music once the sonatas are complete.
  18. Bill Evans, "The Complete Fantasy Recordings"
  19. Ken, Amazon now bills credit cards for Marketplace purchases only upon notification by the Marketplace seller that the item has been shipped. It used to bill immediately upon the order being placed, but switched over to this new system (called "charge when ship"--Google those words in quotes along with Amazon to get more details) within the past year.
  20. Congrats to 7/4! Double congrats! By the way, I had no idea that your last name is Rimsky-Korsakov.
  21. Thanks, Ron! It's going on my wish list. I have both of the listings to which you linked on mine--when I finally pull the trigger, I'll go for the cheapest!
  22. ^ They're the same set--just US vs. European distribution (and perhaps manufacturing?). Should be virtually identical.
  23. They are. They get deducted at check-out when we non-EU'ers place an order.
  24. I'm an ex-prosecutor, remember? That usually gets me 'scused by the defense.
