I recently got "The Bridge" from yourmusic--mighty fine disc.

I've had this set on my waiting-for-running-low list for quite some time. Maybe you'll help to push it there for me.

It's pretty obvious that for some folks, the fix is in.

I'd love to see Odean Pope (but won't happen. I have seen him a few times through the years), and hope to get to Organissimo despite family scheduling conflicts (negotiations commencing). You'd BETTER get there, or else Jim, Joe, and Randy are gonna start thinking you're just my alter ego.

So what's your secret? I think they were afraid of all the money they'd lose if I quit because of a hike! Hmmmmmmm . . . . . . . I just tried logging in as "Lonson Jazzbo" to see what would happen, and the price went up to $8 .99/disc!

Didn't think Chew-Chew's keyboard had all those funny punctuation keys. And there's WAY too many correctly and appropriately capitalized words for that to be him. Perhaps in his "chewy" or "aric" personae, but I'm thinking more of his "ContemporarySFLady" (or whatever it was) schtick. He has such a varied repertoire.

I've had the Jazztet set for a while now--one of my favorites. I am, however, still on the fence about the Capitol set--at the moment leaning towards not getting it.

They're now my Amazon Marketplace top choice, also (and apparently for lots of others, too--approval rating of 98% or something like that). Terrific customer service, by the way (including an actual phone number you can call).

Hey, no bubble bursting allowed!!!! Just got back from Sarasota and found the box waiting. It's the real deal........sealed 8-cd set w/no dents, tire treadmarks, etc. Excellent! I'm glad I lost the bet. (What were we betting, anyway? )

Thanks. At least now I know what I missed out on! Actually, I got both those boxes cheap (one from a record club a long time ago, the other on St. Marks) and I have a pretty healthy OJC collection at this point, so it's probably not a great loss. I'm still sure I would have found a way to drop a few bucks on the sale, though... Many of us did. Hopefully, they'll do it again.
