Well, we're back to organissimo gig (singular) in October, for the moment. It turns out that the Blues Alley gig on October 11th was firmed up a few hours before I set up the Chris' gig, but somebody apparently forgot to tell me about it. However, I may be able to reschedule Chris' for October 4th, and I'm still working on other possibilities for October (and January). I'll keep you posted. For the moment, though, the firm organissimo Philly dates are October 12th at Tritone, and January 19th at Art After Five.

This is probably one of the European sets that aren't directly from Mosaic, and aren't numbered. Still a good deal though! And still a Mosaic.

I see in another thread that Lon's 7/23 order shipped today. Our Man Jackson told me this afternoon that there were a ton or orders on 7/24, and a bunch more on 7/25. So, I'm presuming, this may be where we start to see lots more titles disappear. (Not to cause a panic or anything. )

I just got off the phone with Pete Souders--been talking with him for months about a possible organissimo date in October. He just told me about the sale, but said he'll still be involved with booking. October won't work for organissimo, but Pete's very interested in Thursday, 1/18/07, the night before the Art After Five appearance. More on that in November. But meanwhile, I just confirmed: Wedenesday, October 11, 2006--organissimo at Chris' Jazz Cafe!!!! And there's still Thursday, October 12th, at Tritone. So 2 nights in a row of The Boys in October! (And possibly more--I'm still working on it.)

I've noticed this interesting spelling here off late in the Concord related threads. Is this a pun on the overview of the Concord people on what they have in stock, a case of good market placement by Wherehouse Records, or too much bad beer? In the case of some of us who ordered the Coltrane box but apparently will not get it, it is the "werehouse", as in, "there were some in the house, but now there aren't."

You didn't answer my earlier question: did you mention the class action lawsuit for infliction of emotional distress?

It should show up there eventually, along with the Nelson and Rich sets. In the recent past, they've had all of the older 10,000-copy Verve sets at one point or another. My guess is that it will go for 30 or 40 Euros.

HA! Literally at the same time you were typing this post, Erik, I was typing a PM to John asking him the same thing! My Monk Prestige box finally arrived--along with the rest of my Zweitausendeins order--this past Saturday. Definitely takes a bit of the sting out of the endless wait for word from Concord.

The solution is obvious--you need to send your set to conn.

I ordered one on 7/24, but conn ordered his on 7/18 (even though he likes to pretend he'll do it in the future on 8/18), so it looks like I'm SOL. I did have a bunch of singles in that order (including some for Future Boy), and haven't heard a thing about them.
