  1. It's been discussed ad nauseam on this Board that, unlike the big boxes, the Selects are not shipped in sequential order. But that's OK--feel free to add some more nauseam.
  2. not at 2001 yet. The regular price in germany's online shops is at 75-80€ for the Nelson. The Dizzy is not yet available but announce for end of August at 90+€ Those 2 sets and the Buddy Rich set should all be available at 2001 sooner or later, since they are 10,000-copy Verve sets like Basie, Farlow, Jazztet, and Eldridge, all of which have been available at 2001.
  3. Since there are now 2 threads on this, do we get to take 20% off on these sets?
  4. Me too--in my second order.
  5. Now don't be gettin' my hopes up, Lon.
  6. I wish they'd carry the Blue Note Transcriptions box.
  7. One For All and Charlie Parker
  8. I was notified that my Mingus Debut set was shipped on July 28th.
  9. Did you know that catesta is responsible for all wars in the world?
  10. No Dude--you're the only one in the world. Which is lucky for you, 'cause I understand that they only had one set to sell.
  11. But, then what else do you have to obsess about???
  12. Just placed my second order, and moved up (down?) a couple of categories in the poll. But it appears that I'm still not alone in that category. That'll happen with my third order. Actually, no more orders for me--at least until Blue Note and Verve announce their summer blowout sales.
  13. Guy, you read the Philadelphia Daily News?
  14. And Johnny Griffin is also on "Complete Live In Paris 1965."
  15. I saw an interview with his mother the other day, apparently they're Quakers or something (?). She had to ride a bike (in her very conservative clothing) over to someone else's house in order to watch the Tour finale. Apparently they don't own a car. Maybe the USPS Team should start scouring the Quaker & Amish communites for strong bike riders in the future I doubt they're Quakers. Quakers don't shun modern technology--just war. They're probably Mennonite, if not Amish. They live in Lancaster County (about 80 miles from here), the heart of Amish/Mennonite country.
  16. Well, it left Sacramento on Tuesday evening, and hasn't been seen (or tracked) since. ...unless someone pulled a "montg" on me and took it off my porch I think it's sitting somewhere right next to your first Zweitausendeins order. And HEY! Bob Dylan is America's Wolf Biermann! (Or is that Minnesota's Robert Zimmerman? )
  17. In light of the allegations (and likelihood, IMO) of Landis having doped up in order to make his miracle Tour victory, I think an apology would be a nice gesture. ...FN Americans! Hey, Dude--he's from PA, and not far from Philly. ...FN Texans!
  18. http://www.zweitausendeins.de/artikel/cds/jazz/ and sort by price. They sell the Germany's previous Fantasy distributors overstock items at an unbeatable low price (ok...you can now order directly at the source ) Cheers, Tjobbe Note: german website only but check out the appropriate thread on 2001 currently active to find out he latest "news" If you don't understand German, try using this to translate blocks of text on the 2001 site (that's what I do, and it works very well).
  19. Just wait till you see the crowd at Tritone. (I'm looking forward to seeing Randy dive into a mosh pit.) Based on the crowd, what color outfit will you be wearing Ron? If you say "peach" I might make the trip. Chuck, I never realized how much you care! Actually, my favorite outfit--and pose--for attending organissimo gigs would be something more like this:
  20. Just wait till you see the crowd at Tritone. (I'm looking forward to seeing Randy dive into a mosh pit.)
  21. Concord's already pissed at Chuck because he refused to sell them Nessa Records.
  22. All 3 discs: Still one of my favorites.
  23. I think SS1 was able to have them put this very set on layaway for him. Might be something you want to consider--but call them quickly!
  24. Me too! Thanks Oliver! And also available for anyone who wants to fill out an order and save on shipping: Thelonious Monk--The Complete Prestige Recordings (3 CDs)--6 Euros! The Debut Records Story (4 CDs)--8 Euros (even better than the Concord Blowout Sale price of $20!) The Contemporary Records Story (4 CDs)--15 Euros
  25. Go for it, Noj!
