  1. It is! You should take a listen to it. Now Playing "Dear Old Stockholm" from:
  2. Now this has me wondering. It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to enjoy going to places like Zweitausendeins or Ludwig Beck, but now I’m wondering what would be considered the best in your area these days. Maybe a place like M2?
  3. Yup! The spoken word stuff often ended up at 16.
  4. I remember those! I used to play my Syntonic Research LPs at that speed when I was a youngster (and a few electronic ones too). Looky here: https://www.mollenkramer.nl/16rpm/

  6. Oh, yeah. That's something I picked up a number of years ago. Johansson's discography has lots to enjoy within.
  7. HEY! Looky here! After Delmark's 70 years and over twelve thousand recordings later, we get an "anthology" of 10 tunes on a single disc. YIPPEE! My show dedicated to Chris Strachwitz was nearly three times longer than this.

  9. Julius Eastman: Vol. 3: If You're So Smart, Why Aren't You Rich?
  10. I know that it says “experimental, baroque”, but that really is the closest one can get when it comes to a description. I’m actually including it in a set of something close to obscure ”avant-folk” for the Aug. 9 radio show. She died of Covid right near the start of it in March of 2020. Guardian has an obit (they messed up the accent on the “e” - it should be grave rather than acute). Also, the obituary was written by a guy who actually died over two years before she did (!).
  11. These tracks that Bennett didn't approve of...weren't most of those at the request of Mitch Miller?
  12. ...because it's Ted Gioia - I really don't understand the interest in him.
  13. “Eighty minutes” isn’t really 80 minutes in this case. They (CD-Rs), technically, only hold 79:30 of audio. There was a time when you could buy “100 minute” CD-Rs, but it turned out that even tho audio could be burned onto them, they usually wouldn’t read past the 80’ mark, so they became pretty much obsolete.
  14. Thanks for the work and worry. Might I suggest “Simple Machines”? It’s easy and looks good. https://www.simplemachines.org Here’s a sample forum: https://scd.community/index.php Their forum for questions, templates, etc… https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php
