  1. The Japanese CP32 and CP28 Blue Note reissues use the same transfers/masterings as the early American CD reissues.
  2. Co-producer Richard Seidel said in an interview that unissued material may be released by Sony, including stuff from the 1960s. See this post.
  3. Just click on the link in my post #95 above.
  4. It's very bad again today (Monday, November 30), especially when I try to open a topic - response time is very slow and the site keeps timing out... Jim, can something be done about this slowness? It's been this way on and off for quite some time now.
  5. Like Mosaic, Hep Records are struggling, so if you are planning to get some of their excellent CDs, do it now, it will be appreciated! I do not have any connections with Hep
  6. As long as she doesn't vocalize...
  7. "Extraneous overtones'... hm... that's one way of putting it; to me Chambers' bowing just sounds out of tune Probably something wrong with my ageing ears
  8. I am looking for these Mosaic Sets in excellent or better condition: MD6-182 The Complete Verve/Clef Charlie Ventura/Flip Phillips Studio Sessions (including box and booklet) MS-017 Johnny Richards Please PM me if you're selling one or both of these sets or if you know where I can get one/them. Thanks. PayPal is my only payment option.
  9. Can anyone answer this question yet? Why don't you ask Mosaic? I did a while ago, but Scott Wenzel couldn't give me an answer and Michael Cuscuna wasn't available. I just sent them another e-mail, but in the meantime maybe someone here could answer my question, I'd appreciate it. Just got a reply from Scott. He doesn't know exactly, but he thinks there are less than 10 tracks with celeste and maybe half of the set is with organ. No set for me, I'm afraid The big deal for me is that I don't like neither organ nor celeste.

  11. Amazon.com (available December 1, price $102.98...) Amazon U.K. (no date or price yet) Amazon Germany (already available, €29.95 or about $45 / £27)
  12. Very slow here too...
  13. A great player, who seems to be all but forgotten. Glad you bumped this 6+ years-old thread.

  15. Can anyone answer this question yet?
  16. Could someone tell me how many "tracks-with-organ/celeste" the set has? Last time I looked the website's discography didn't give any details. Thanks
  17. That's funny, same here
  18. According to Amazon it's an "American Jazz Classics" release. No idea if it's legit. The album was originally released on RCA.
  19. "on CD for the first time" is not quite correct, I remember seeing European Windows on CD some years ago.
  20. Same here, and now it's extremely slow again...
  21. Apparently no one's read it yet
  22. Where was this article published, other than on that website? Must have been before 1995, the year Rosenthal died.
