  1. Get the Yazoo instead, it has the same tracks and much better sound; it has more hiss etc. but doesn't sound as dead as the Columbia. Amazon
  2. Any news?
  3. Analogue Productions owner Chad Kassem told me that these are not numbered limited editions - which does not answer the question whether or not they will be repressed once the current run is depleted.
  4. They can also be ordered from CD Pacific for $21 plus change and free shipping within the United States.
  5. Actually, he's 81 and will be 82 in October this year.
  6. Wait until the Beatles remasters are actually available... That might be because some of them, such as the "Blue Note Works" TOCJs you've been selling, are (or at least were until recently) a bit of hype on the Hoffman forum.
  7. That doesn't sound good, given his age - he'll be 82 later this year. I wish him all the best.

    Helen Merrill

Indeed, let's hope it's not that, given her age; she'll be 79 later this month.
  9. Completely agree - don't let the distance scare you! Seconded.
  10. OCD? Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
  11. I wonder if that means that his posts are also gone.
  12. The Scottish Hep label released two Chick Webb CDs that were mastered by the late John R.T. Davies. They're excellent and the best Chick Webb currently available on CD. Get them while you can.
  13. You can change the settings by using the "options" drop-down menu at the right-hand side of the thread title bar. Just change the display mode.

    Wes and Grant

Forgot to say that no sessions with Wes Montgomery and Grant Green together are listed in the Ruppli Verve discography.

    Wes and Grant

The Ruppli also lists 2 unissued Grant Green sessions for Verve with unknown personnel. Five tracks were recorded at the first session and nine at the second. Both sessions took place in NYC and the dates are August 5 and September 1, 1965.
  16. No need to apologize, I was just trying to make sure you meant CDs, not LPs. Good luck with your sale.
  17. Not many from that comedy are still with us. Of the main characters Wendy Richard (Miss Brahms), Mollie Sugden (Mrs Slocombe) and John Inman (Mr Humphries) are now all gone.
  18. English actress Mollie Sugden died today. She was 86. BBC obit
  19. Karl Malden died today. He was 97. Another great actor gone... LA Times obit
  20. It's clearly indicate "CD" at the beginningt of the post. I think the confusion was because you mention CD at the top, and record at the bottom. Exactly.
  21. Are these LPs (= records) or CDs? I assume the latter.
  22. Yes, finally! Couldn't agree more.
