  1. I couldn't agree more. Another sad day for jazz and music in general.
  2. Same here, both on Opera and MSIE6.
  3. Ah, I see what you mean (took me some time, but hey, I've got more things to do... )
  4. Well, I don't - that is, I'm not familiar with and don't understand the "lingo" he's using, and as a consequence it prevents me from understanding the meaning of his prose.
  5. As far as I'm concerned quite a lot, actually, like for instance the Rich, Tyner, the Jazz Crusaders, and one or two others.
  6. I must admit that I understand hardly anything of what he's saying, just because of his writing style. My not being a native speaker might have something to do with it.
  7. And Pacific Jazz Piano Trio fans like me
  8. Ah, you beat me to it, Ed
  9. Oscar Peterson's unnecessary busy playing spoiled that album for me.

Yeah, but that was almost 3 years ago, can't we continue a discussion here? ← Almost 3 years ago this board didn't even exist...
  11. His last post dates from June 18.
  12. That would be a shame, the JJJ set is on of the all-time great Mosaics in my opinion.
  13. My sincere condolences.
  14. Tony ("Chaney") is taking a break from posting.
  15. The bulk of the set is currently not available on individual CDs in the United States.
  16. I believe it's the same mastering - if you're talking about the regular individual OJCs, that is, not the 20-bit remasters.
  17. Winning bid $191.50! Nice score!
  18. Geoff, Why don't you use eBay's "Ask seller a question" feature? You might get an answer sooner that way.
  19. And many happy returns! Good luck with the Saints in the Championship this season. I'll be following them closely.
  20. P.S. I have several older Nippon Columbia Savoy releases, such as Milt Jackson's: Meet Milt Jackson - Columbia COCB-50415 The Jazz Skyline - Columbia CY-78997 Jackson's Ville - Columbia COCY-78530 These are all mini-LP sleeve reissues, but as far as I know the forthcoming releases come in jewel cases.
  21. That's Nippon Columbia (Nippon = Japan), not Columbia/Sony. Nippon Columbia is an entirely different company.
  22. No, sorry. I just got this message from Hiroshi Tanno and don't have any details.

  24. That's where it was when this thread started. ← I thought I'd seen it in the "Running Low" category. Oh well...
  25. CDUniverse is great, though their shipping to Europe is indeed a bit high. Excellent service, speedy delivery.
