As far as I know the Teagarden LP-set is included in the Mosaic (the usual disclaimers apply, though ). Here's the producer's note of the Mosaic set: "This Mosaic release brings together all the masters from the OKeh and Brunswick label plus any other masters from the Columbia family of labels that have sessions led by Bix Beiderbecke, Frank Trumbauer and Jack Teagarden. However, we’ve decided to stray from the vision a bit and include those Columbia masters of Bix and Tram where they are in the role of sideman as well. These include the Arkansas Travelers (A), Broadway Bell Hops (I), Willard Robison/Chicago Loopers (L), Bee Palmer (Y) and Bing Crosby (NN) (OO) sessions. We have decided not to include the Joe Venuti Blue Four session (with Tram) of October 18, 1929 (“Runnin’ Ragged” and “Apple Blossoms”), which will be available as part of a Venuti-Lang package on Mosaic. Brunswick masters that were recorded prior to November 17, 1931 are not included since they are currently under license with Universal / Polygram."

LF: 'Jazz West Coast' TOCJ Set
J.A.W. replied to Son-of-a-Weizen's topic in Offering and Looking For...
isn't that the worst? Not half as bad as the bumped-up and aggressive highs of some non-TOCJ Blue Notes in my opinion. To each his own... its like having a bad head cold... Well, those aggressive, shrill-sounding non-TOCJ Blue Notes are giving me bleeding ears and severe headaches - I don't know what's worse... Like I said, to each his own. -

His records were always impeccable (I did manage to win a few before he decided I no longer met his minimum bids) and his grading was accurate.
-
Very sad news. My thoughts are with Sonny.
-
He removed me from his mailing list in the early 1990s because I didn't meet his minimum bids.

My thoughts exactly.

Some people have got better things to do than proofread threads and posts... Whatever, but I sometimes wonder if people actually read very carefully. When those titles were referred to as "obscure" and I went on to say they hadn't been in print since the 80's, I would have thought somebody might have said something sooner. Well, I can only speak for myself, of course, but I don't have time to check out threads and posts every five minutes, and I didn't read your observations until just before I posted the info about the reissues. Sheesh...

AFAIK Blue Note/Capitol has the rights now. Takes Charge has been released on CD in 2002 edit: this only applies to Takes Charge, I gues (?) Capitol/EMI have the rights to the Riverside albums that Cannonball owned. They reissued most, if not all albums. I picked up these: Cannonball Takes Charge - Capitol Jazz 34071; released in 2002 Them Dirty Blues - Capitol Jazz 95447; released in 2000 Cannonball Adderley and the Poll-Winners - Capitol Jazz 20086; released in 1999 The Cannonball Adderley Quintet at the Lighthouse - Capitol Jazz 31572; released in 2001

"definately" vs. "definitely"

Interesting post. Could you give a few examples of a) and c)? -
The answers to your questions are hidden in the thread, i.e. you can only find the answers by reading the whole thread.

"definately" vs. "definitely"
J.A.W. replied to neveronfriday's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
I could swear I was taught that " its' " was valid as a possessive pronoun when I was in school. My English teacher nearly got a heart attack every time someone used it's instead of its as a possessive pronoun. It's the apostrophe after the s that I thought used to be OK. I'm off to check my Oxford Concise again. Oops, sorry, thought it was a typo... -
Somethin' Else is the best Cannonball album, but I prefer the atmosphere and ambience on The Quintet in San Francisco.

That's a classic - the wrong spelling (fuschia) seems to be winning... -

nope, we only have "oorlog." But old Dutch (neerlandés)? The official Diccionario de la Real Academia de la Lengua Española says so. They probably picked that up when we were fighting the Spanish for our freedom from the mid-1500s to the mid-1600s... B-) they had 80 years for that you know. You want warre? Ha, but we won! -

In olde English textes yes, but not in Dutch. "War" comes from "warre", which means entanglement, confusion, battle in medieval Dutch. -
