I can see some logic in the relevance of the world rankings over the past three years, but I would think there ought to be more weight toward current rankings (The Dutch should have been there before Mexico). But what has 1998 got to do with it? Every team (and in many cases their managers) has changed in 7+ years. As far as Mexico is concerned... I hope we get to play them in the tournament again.
