There is hope the two you mention will be the next reissue. You could e-mail Jordi Pujol ...

A reissue I almost had given up hope to see in my lifetime: the Dave Burns Vanguard album, with the tracks featuing him from Al Grey and Billy Mitchell albums as bonus tracks: https://www.freshsoundrecords.com/dave-burns-albums/55241-1962-sessions.html
  4. This weekend's evening wine: CUVE 102 - BIO** 2020 – FR-BIO-01 Languedoc Appellation d’Origine Protégée

Continued listening to the tracks .... Track 4: Mal Waldron? Reminds me of an album of his I have but haven't listened to in a long time. Sorry, was interrupted. Will continue tomorrow.

It swings hard, and the bass trumpet guy is great.

Got my copy of Live At Donte's today, in perfect condition. Ponty and Duke are excellent and adventurous. The Lord Disco mistakenly identifies the bonus tracks as from the later session with Dick Berk, but this is incorrect. Al Cecchi is the drummer on all tracks. I will get me the new Sunday Walk reissue and the duets with Dauner. I love Ponty's violin tone.
  8. You're right - some guy unknown to me is credited for remastering the Cherry and Williams reissues. Pfister did the Charlie Parker, but I like the JSP remasters better.
  9. Switzerland is not part of the European Union. Do they have their own copyright regulations? That they do not credit the original session producers indicates, to me, that they did not license the Blue Note recordings. You would be amazed by what a good engineer like Pfister can do with any CD or other source. I once got a demonstration by a local audio technician who transferred a good sounding LP into a bad sounding and vice versa. When I got the Charlie Parker CDs Pfister remastered I wondered what sources he used. But they probably will not tell.
  10. Received a batch from Fresh Sound today:

Okay, let me try myself at this agian ..... Track 1: A long time favourite of mine, from this album. Recognized from the first bar. Favourite trumpet player of mine, bought the CD as soon as it was out, although I had Japanese LPs. Track 2: So this is a giveaway track? I haven't heard this one before. Medley: Alone Together, Summertime with a showoff trumpet player - Shavers? Come Rain Or Shine - Dinah Washington? Track 3; Reminds me of some of Coltrane's ballad style tunes from the Impulse years, like Welcome, but this is not Trane. Not his tone, but clearly inspired by him. More tomorrow, I won't look at the others' guesses.
  12. Did we have this one?

I play Electric Connection once a month since I finally got a copy of the CD reissue, as I really love some of the tunes on it. Will have to pull out the live LP with George Duke tomorrow. This deserves a new reissue (there was a CD on One Way). Just ordered a copy of this CD:
  14. I know. I just wanted to offer my help to keep the ball rolling, if necessary. So put me on the list for February 2023.
  15. I can jump in any time as well, I have two more in the can that I can finish for upload in a day or two.
