  1. RJ Rockers First Snow Ale - I liked this spiced ale more than I expected to. An easy drinking Winter Warmer at 6% ABV. Fish Tale WinterFish Ale This year's batch has a new label and seems hoppier than ever. Too tart for my taste, but hardcore hopheads might like it.
  2. 10 reasons why John Cleese, Eric Idle, Michael Palin and the Monty Python team HAVE to come back Ryan Lambie highlights the reasons we all want more Monty http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/monty-python-reuniting-10-reasons-2809537 Forever? I could watch the original cheese sketch at least once a month (and maybe more often than that). http://www.minderella.com/words/cheeseshop.htm Customer: What now? Owner: The cat's eaten it. Customer: (pause) Has he. Owner: She, sir.
  3. One of my colleagues just got one to use for Microsoft Lync conference calls, but he hasn't used it yet. I may need to get one soon myself. I have no experience with Dragon, sorry.
  4. 67 F and sunny! Probably won't see another day like this for several months. Wish I could be outside.
  5. 2013 Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine Style Ale - I'm done using my brain for anything serious today. It's time to get stomped by Bigfoot.
  6. Samuel Adams Wee Heavy This wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped, but it's o.k.
  7. Cryptonomicon Mass Market Paperback by Neal Stephenson (Author) Just started this 1000+ page tome and I've already encountered more math formulas than in many non-fiction physics books.
  8. The Big Book Of Pennsylvania Ghost Stories by Mark Nesbitt and Patty A. Wilson Some interesting history even if you don't believe.
  9. Schlafly Pumpkin Ale - This is the closest to liquid pumpkin pie I've yet had. Wouldn't drink it out of season, but it delivers what it promises.
  10. Looks tasty, haven't seen it in my area. Of course, I've already got enough pumpkin ale on hand to last me well through Thanksgiving, by which time I'll have had my fill for this year.
  11. A real nice sippin' beer! BA categorizes this as an English Strong Ale. It's not hoppy like American Strong Ales, such as Arrogant Bastard. I find it easier to drink than AB, YMMV.
  12. For now, I'll go with the free Kindle edition translated by Gummere. It starts with "Lo, praise the prowess..."
  13. 1. Yeah, if it was last year's time it would be an upset....but Flacco is back to being pre-Super Bowl Flacco and the defense isn't anywhere as good this year without Lewis and his deer antler spray. You're basic post Super Bowl season. 2. This one is an upset....and it's now looking like the Rex Ryan circus will be around even longer. 3. This one was surprising....especially with the Johnathan Martin situation which seems to be getting uglier. Now not only is the NFLPA looking into it....the team asked the NFL to investigate what happened. 4. Houston offense just sucks and Andrew Luck is the real deal. In a few more years people will be wondering why there was even a discussion about RGIII being drafted before him, or how he won rookie of the year. 10th 4 quarter comeback in 24 starts! It helps he has his OC from Stanford as OC....instead of Kyle "Nepotism" Shanahan.....or Mike "Thank God for Terrell Davis & Alex Gibbs" Shanahan. Also didn't help Houston that it looked like Gary Kubiak was having a heart attack before he was being taken to the hospital during half-time....especially with John Fox needing heart surgery to replace a valve. Not sure how that doesn't affect the team. 5. On Philly.....I think Foles just fits Chip Kelly's offense better. He's not as mobile as Vick, or has as strong an arm.....but he can @ least pass accurately. That's a good enough explanation for Foles unexpected degree of success. However, I watched a pre-game show where three analysts confidently picked the Raiders to win by varying scores as a 3 to 7 point favorite. Nobody had the Eagles. I didn't expect them to do as well, either. The Eagles would be done already in a stronger division, but amazingly enough they are still in the hunt.
  14. I don't think anyone expected the Philadelphia Eagles to defeat the Oakland Raiders so soundly, either.
  15. I'll give my cat fresh fish tonight to celebrate!
