  1. Me too now, prompted by your post to get it off the shelf. There was a time when I was hoovering up everything from this generation of Chicago players, such a great scene.
  2. As I suspected, lots of names I know. Rostvold and Rosenbloom are new to me. At £800 for the Rostvold I'm unlikely to get to know it soon either The Togashi/Suzuki is the one I own and didn't ID, along with Booker T which I somehow ID'd the label only. Azzolini has been in my Discogs cart at least twice without pulling the trigger, perhaps this is the prompt to do so. A couple others to definitely follow up, Chapin and Toshiko. A nice selection, thanks again for the time and effort Edit to add: four now added to my Discogs cart (not the Rostvold, sadly)
  3. Nice to see it being appreciated more than it was here
  4. I wish it had been a CD release. I ended up with downloads, terrific music
  5. I'll be there for the London edition... Meanwhile, congratulations on securing such a great event
  6. That's an impressive lineup. If it were this side of the Atlantic in addition to your list I'd be aiming for Peter Evans Being&Becoming, Kim Gordon, Valentina Magaletti, Moritz Von Oswald; Nicole Mitchell, Ben Lamarr Gay, Sara Serpa, Fred Frith. Shame there aren't any streamed sets
  7. Nice! Is your hearing back now to enjoy it?
  8. Yes, I think that's what interests me, takes it out of the usual hard bop territory, just that bit, the bit that makes a difference. I don't know these albums at all so will be investigating them. I recently bought 'The Real Thing' in no small part down to your and @Pim's enthusiasm for it here, and I love it
  9. The presence of Franco makes me want to hear this a lot more than if he wasn't there for some reason
  10. Boulez -Pli Selon Pli Boulez/Ensemble Intercontemporain Happy 100 PB!
  11. I did too
  12. Another new Brötzmann release https://oldheavenbooks.bandcamp.com/album/hurricane
  13. Yes, they initially released it
  14. This looks very interesting. It seems to have had an earlier download only release in 2021. This is claiming to be expanded https://michaelgregoryjackson.bandcamp.com/album/frequency-equilibrium-koan-expanded The label's previous reissues have been needle drops, but very well received quality-wise. Source for this is "superior"... Samples sound tasty
  15. At least I got the label right. What's the story with Booker T? I have the leader date but don't know much else about him
  16. Thank you, prompted me put on my copy, a 1973 US repress which only now do I realise has a different track listing, sharing just three tunes with the Victor. I wonder what the thinking behind that was
  17. And the BAD beatbox behind!
  18. So it is a Silkheart? I have one of his on the label
  19. Damn, missed it! Not an old punk, just old and would have loved to have seen this nostalgia rush.
  20. So if it's Lindberg then it's probably George Lewis too, as per Jsngry above
  21. Scroll to the bottom of the linked Bandcamp page in the first post
