  1. Patience, patience, patience Just imagine how good it will be when it finally arrives!
  2. My favourite is the one with John Lindberg. Great playing from both on that. The one with Tyler is more austere than I had imagined but that's only after two listens. He plays on a couple of the Black Saint albums iirc
  3. Iggy Ziggy Piggy
  4. Billy Bang & Charles Tyler - Live at Green Space [Anima, 1982] Bang's Anima releases would make a great boxset
  5. Sounds great so far, definite improvement on the CD, (which I've played several times this week) to my ears at least. My copy has passed the 'Plantation Bag' test, thankfully. Still two tracks to listen to though, so...fingers remain crossed. The pricing is steep over here but if it means shops like Honest Jon's survive then I'll make that choice. Lovely to purchase this over a counter in a real shop; it's been too long.
  6. Good to be back in a record shop today and unexpectedly find the Bang/Tyler
  7. Kidd Jordan Boy George Cheryl Ladd
  8. H.R.H. The Queen (divinely saved) Barbara Windsor Queen Vic
  9. Charles Mingus- Presents [Candid, 1985 RP] I paid £3.99, money well spent at Ray's Jazz by the looks of the price tag
  10. Thanks, that's good to hear that your impressions are positive (despite the source). Mine is a paperback edition but hopefully the quality control will be maintained. I'm looking forward to its arrival along with the two Cherry albums they're releasing.
  11. My introduction to Ms Gordon, after listening to Mingus's 'Moves' earlier. Nice band on this too
  12. I have that on pre-order, published in a couple of weeks here. how is it?
  13. prompted by the current discussion on another thread beats working, that's for sure

  18. Mint copy on Discogs for $19. It's hardly a rarity
  19. Desert Island albums for me, alongside 'Free Fall'. A unique trio
  20. Staying with Pat Pat Martino - El Hombre [Prestige, 1967]
  21. Pat Martino - Strings! [Prestige, 1968] preceded by Pat Martino - East! [Prestige, 1968] my copy's in better nick than this photo, thankfully

Good, a good and appreciative home. I'll continue to enjoy on Spotify and congratulate myself for resisting (whilst secretly weeping)
