I'd say as long as the required run rate still hovers around 10/ov you're in with a good chance but there's the number of wickets lost to factor in too, and which batters are still in or to come. So if one of your top 5 is still there and you've got some big hitters still to come, you've 8 overs left and 80 to get you're feeling confident, 100 to get you're ok, 120 then you need a couple of big performances. Bearing in mind 20+ runs can be knocked off a total in one "big"over the equation can shift quite quickly. Similarly two or three quick wickets later on and you go from 4 to 7 batters out and you find yourself relying on bowlers who can bat rather than batters Is this making any sense? I should add I don't follow T20 nearly as closely as the Test matches so this isn't an expert opinion at all

This was also mentioned on the "What are you listening to now ..." thread. Such a great shame. A true master and a great collaborator too. I was lucky to see him just once with his Orchestra I'm also now going to read this entire thread, looks very interesting -
That's nice news on the tickets hope it comes to fruition for you both If I understand you correctly to mean when is a score too big to be chased , then this will give you some context https://www.espncricinfo.com/records/highest-innings-totals-batting-second-283214 We're in Test (five days) mode here at the moment with a very good second match against West Indies, following their abject performance in the first match of the series.

Oh no! That's so sad, too young. A superlative musician and collaborator

Sad to hear this. Regret not attending her Oto gig a few years ago

That's a great shame. A terrific musician which a gem laden back catalogue I will never forget seeing Les Diaboliques, improvising and humour of the highest order.

And the Hundred is ridiculous, as that indicates

Tricksy sport this cricket...but I'm not laughing because I hadn't thought before how someone new to it on TV would see that or not. Bowlers have preferred ends at most grounds they play on regularly

That's good if possibly a little overlong I find Black Top recordings consistently worth the time

Nice album, good news. I have a turntable technoidiot story to end all others but I'm not sharing it in public NP: The Complete Pacific Jazz And Capitol Recordings Of The Original Gerry Mulligan Quartet And Tentette With Chet Baker This is just a fabulous collection I can't believe I left it so long to properly acquaint myself with this music

Sounds great. The 'Americanizations' are all part of the T20 game here too, to attract the non-cricket crowd. I've always had great experiences with South East Asian crowds at cricket, raucously supportive but always with humour

I love lists like this. I've read 20, gave up on one, have had about another 15 on my 'to read' list for far too long. Lots of intriguing titles to investigate -

Congratulations to the best team of the tournament. They are a joy to watch. England played well in the first half to negate the threat but Spain came out flying in the the second half
