  1. On this now, better than I remember
  2. Just looked up the scorecards. Texas only lost one wicket, a nine wicket victory is pretty comprehensive even if it felt close. It goes back to what we were saying about tipping points and run rates. In that position Texas would have been pretty confident I reckon given they had nine batters left to get them over the line. Let's just say if they hadn't made it it would have been embarrassing. Some interesting names involved including two of highly regarded umpires in world cricket, Erasmus and Taufel
  3. Sounds like I should get myself a copy
  4. 👍 just pulled it off the shelf
  5. That actually sounds like the Sun Ra book I need to help get some grasp on the discography. The layout looks good. A handy reference to have lying about perhaps
  6. That's a memory jog, bet it still sounds good Something a bit more recent playing here, Chien Chien Lu - Built In System, Live in New York

  10. The Brass Company - Colors [Strata East, USA 1975] This always surprises me how good it is, maybe I don't listen to it often enough. Writing, arranging and playing of top order, I'd say.
  11. That's a bit of a tradition, fielders signing for fans whilst fielding Indian food, good weather and cricket, that's close to an ideal world right there. Bit of Jazz between innings might be the cherry on top...
  12. Charles Davis - Ingia! [Strata East, USA 1974] This is a really good listening
  13. It's very good, I attended the listening party on Bandcamp.
  14. Lloyd McNeill & Richard Kimball - 'X-temp-ore'
  15. I was looking at them and thinking just that. Wrong side of the Atlantic for me though. That Cage box is marvellous.
  16. Me too now. I didn't know about it, thanks for posting. I always enjoy a new Turre
  17. That's good to know. Hoping for a new recording and a visit to London
  18. Brother Jack McDuff - Prelude [Prestige, USA 1964] As suggested by @HutchFan, kind of...
  19. I think that's another impressive release from Makhathini
  20. How is that? I see it about a fair bit. I like McFarland's 'Point Of Departure' and the one with Bill Evans but that's as far as I've gone
