I think deus is having fun out of the remark of DEEP that he (deus) must be 10 years old or so. Remember DEEP got the reply that it was actually two? This thread started shortly after deus had changed his birthday to celebrate his second yesterday. I think it is rather funny but it may be too large a scale jump and a bit cryptic for those who do not read the DEEP thread (and even for those who do it seems...).

people cursing outside my room because they cannot persuade the copier to do what they want it to do... the big Mrs Boss from downstairs has come to check on what's taking her students so long and has decided to curse THEM instead of the machine. Nice change of pace... sorry to have interupted, please proceed.

I'll see if I can get it passed my wife to include it on some future 2001 orderform

there is a lot of Asian influence in the music I believe. The African components were imported indirectly through American jazz influences. The rest is European and Asian. Indeed there is not much of the "black" groove, but there definitely IS a groove that I find damn hard to resist. I am not very familiar with Sauer and Kronberg besides some 60s Mangelsdorff. I am an import-German remember and still finding my way around the German jazz scene and its history. You do realise that this cup of tea thing was copyrighted/trademarked by Dan don't you?

thanks for the recommendations. My :eye: are open. That impulse set has such an ugly cover I will not pass it by unnoticed. :rsly:

Jim, may I take you up on your promise before BFT6 hits us in the face?

Jarrett has never drawn my attention. Maybe I should remedy that. That group with Haden, Motian & Redman looks like a winner. I'll keep my eyes open. Anyone have any comments on the album Redman did with Cecil Taylor and Elvin Jones? AMG is rather restrained in its praise.

it seems we will just have to keep up the linear stream of thought and writing then. No backtracking in the message to place a smilie with a pepped up after the fact statement. thanks for the explanations BTW

Claude, do the buttons this all started about work in your Opera browser like they do in MSIE? I cannot select text and then change it by clicking a button. Also, if I insert a smiley, it ends up at the end of the message independent of where my cursor is. Do I need to update my java?

Mount Everest Trio -- Waves from Albert Ayler

thanks for the heads up. The sample convinced me. I just ordered a copy. -
I love the linernotes pointing out Kyner's idea that "when my royalty check comes in, I think I'm gonna buy me a Mustang!" I doubt whether Frank Zappa or any of the Mothers had read this valuable piece of information when they used the line in Flower Punk on their WOIIFT$ album. Would be cool if it were so though.

I just wanted to add that I don't know of Rahsaan ever messing up a solo either. Kirk was a monster. The sameness of his later performances lies in his not always top of the bill sidemen.

Now all you need is practise those mouse gestures. That's probably the coolest feature of Opera.
