    Ronnie Ross

Doing some background searching on an LP I recently found and which features some tracks with Ronnie Ross and a local Polish pick up rhythm section, I stumbled on this site: The Ronnie Ross Homepage. Nothing too spiffy looking, but very informative wrt discographical questions. My Polish LP was not listed though and it turned out something these hardcore Ross fans had never heard of. I send them the info I had and will provide them with a CDr shortly. Anyhow, I thought it's a nice site and you may want to check it out. From the little I've heard of it, I'd Ross's playing is very good. He has a very soothing tone, almost clarinet like at times. I'd welcome any comments on the guy, his music, and the rest.
  5. I shouldn't have left my design for the logo of the "Royal Canadian Moose Burning Society" with the one friend of mine who never finds anything back you lend him... It was intricate and involved horns on each side of a circular banner lining crossed matches in front of a flame
  6. And I don't like wise ass people with more to say in their small letter disclaimers than in their actual message (what was that main message about anywho? )
  7. Enjoy the holidays my friend. Don't let the future spoil your time with your family NOW. Something will turn up eventually so keep up the good faith and your good humour. The latter is indispensible if it comes to how this BB has been functioning up till now.
  8. I stir mine with a pencil and have come to Earth-shattering insights regarding CDs and round holes...
  9. okay, that's verrrrrrryyy naughty!!! how many years in the bowels of hell for that?

  11. look what I found: amazon link looks interesting!
  12. we've reached another level! Why is the hole in a 45 round? wouldn't square (or star/plus/triangle/... shaped) be better wrt matters of friction and relay of tracking forces? :rsly:
  13. and to save you people the witty remark: yes couw has (at least) TWO minds! and he's right out of both!
  14. what did the Lorber dude do to deserve a hard time at the pearly gates? Inquisitive minds want to know! (rather lazy than inquisitive, but the latter sounds much better don't it?) Minds who are quite fearful for what they may find at that.
  15. this really upset jesus there didn't it? or was he knocked off his socks by the babe thread?

  17. read it again! and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again ....
  18. they needed the space for all those dandy logos and spiffy track info
  19. here am I, putting these CDs in a very specific angle relative to the spindle and now you people are gonna tell me that ain't necessary? woa, couldn't you have said this earlier?!
  20. Have one on me! (beverage that is) the clue does lie in beverages BTW, it would be infinitely more difficult to put a disk in Correctly when there is a polygon of any shape you have to fit your disk onto. With wobbly eye-sight and trembling hands, the operation is easiest when dealing with a round hole. There's one dimension less to deal with. prosit
  21. I thought CDs were the greatest invention of man kind? I mean, what's this thread all about? Beverages?
  22. now, that's all nice and gross and stimulating in various ways, but the question remains: why are the nostrils round? - cause your fingers are too - so, why are the fingers round? - 'cause of the friction; to illustrate, imagine a glass of Wodka-Martini .... Somehow all this visual aide stuff is shite without a nice scary formula to go with it. Show them kids you still know something they don't! and end your short lecture, with "see, it's simple logic."
  23. NOW we want to see those of course...
  24. yup, helped. But WHAT does all this stirring of beverages have to do with CDs having round holes?
