I called about an order placed on 7/19. They quickly apologized for the delay and shipped it in a matter of hours!!! I received Fedex tracking email too!!

Still waiting on my 7/19 order.

Its also gone from Amazon. Looks like you will have to really hunt for this one. I doubt it's a rarity. This k2 has been available everywhere for a few years. I'm sure most retail stores still have copies. Not to mention eBay. AFAIK, all K2's are supposed to be limited editions. So eventually they will be out of stock everywhere. I think you could still find one in a B&M.

Interesting...my order number is 5900 something and I ordered 3 days before you and nothing yet. Still havent opened all my CD's from the first shipment though

There are a couple in suburban DC, the one I frequent has a healthy jazz and classical section. I cant imagine it closing down. I may go tomorrow and pick a couple more of those 9.99 Impulse digipacks.

I have to say I own a bunch of Ellington, including the massive RCA box, but I never got around to owning 'The Ellington Suites' until I got the K2 from the Concord sale last week. Oh my! This is a monster. It is already one of my top Ellington's, all time. This one should be recommended right along with "far east suite', 'and his mother called him bill' and 'such sweet thunder'. I havent been able to listen to the rest of my concord order, because I have already listened 5 or 6 times to this puppy and I am not tired yet.

Hey, for those of you who have received your packages already...is Concord shipping these with 'Signature Required' or are the Fedex guys just dropping the packages on the fron door? I'd hate to find a 'you were not home' note today...

I ordered on 7/12 too. According to FedEx, package is in Ohio and should be here in DC tomorrow. I can then wait patiently for my second order placed on 7/19

Well, I ordered aroun 30-35 cds, and all were K2. I am happy with all the ones I have. 80% i have been able to detect a signifcant improvement from the OJC, IMHO.

Worktime K2 is still there. Boss Tenor K2 is still there. Cosmo's Factory K2 is still there. Whether they are still in the warehouse is another question. That's weird. I went in an hour ago and I swear they werent there. They are showing up now indeed.

A bunch of titles are being deleted, right off the bat I noticed these gone from the site: Boss Tenor K2 Monk Plays Ellington K2 Sonny Rollins Worktime K2 Eric Dolphy Outward Bound K2 CCR Cosmos Factory K2 Im sure some more have been deleted...

I ordered the K2 title too of the Red. Plus a few dozens more Other than my regular yourmusic.com shipment, I think that's it for my music purchases until Thanksgiving.

Coltrane is a big seller (for jazz standards). So I am sure Concord is just getting ready to repackage and market this material for 'the next generation'. Sort of what they did with the Monk/Trane studio recordings.

One thing is owning the tapes and a very different one is owning the RIGHTS to rlease any of the material. I doubt any of it will be released anytime soon.
