I bought this one without ever hearing any comments about it and loved it from the get go. So I go into All music guide to check the review, and they gave it one star. ONE STAR!!!??? Who here loves the album? Who cant stand it? Since I never heard any comments prior to this labum, I wonder if this is a 'controversial' album or just another AMG review way off base.

The only Clifford Brown live recordings I own are the 'Live at Birdland' with Art Blakey and the 'Jam' sessions on Emarcy with Clark Terry, Dinah Washington, etc. I have all of his studio Pacific, Blue Notes and Emarcy sides and every note he played was something special. What are the essential live CD's I should get? I'd prefer to buy some good recorded shows first and leave the 'bootleg' sound quality for later. Thanks!

Im through with them. Good prices, but everything I have ordered is not in stock. I have waited more than a month to get a CD that I can get at my local Tower for a difference of 3-4 bucks. Its not worth the discounted price, IMHO.

Live in Detroit is a winner. The Aquarius shows are also good, but in a different way. Morrison was not into his rock god persona after the miami incident, so he is taking it a notch down. They will release 2 more sets in November: the Boston shows. These are controversial even among Doors fans, Morrison was totally wasted on these. The Ray Charles set is very good, it may go OOP preety soon. In fact, I think its already way overpriced. Last time I checked it was in the $50s at amazon.
