If you're rooting for the Pistons, then I'd go for the Jazz. I think the Pistons match up against them alot better than they do against the Spurs. -
There's a Duke Ellington Way in Las Vegas, parallel to the Strip, on the other side of the Tropicana.

As it sounds, the issue is that you should be breaking individual topics into relevant threads, not grouping all discussions into one thread. That can (should?) happen independent of creating a separate forum. What a nightmare to think of all the rock threads being lumped together into one single thread!

I agree - they were the most exciting team to watch in the playoffs this year, IMO. -

I prefaced my statement by saying I was a Spurs fan. I know he's done some things like the Ray Allen kick, etc. I also said he should be held to the fire for the things he has done that were clearly wrong. But he's also a 7 time member of the NBA All Defensive First and Second Teams. He's played his style of defense successfully in far more games than he's had incidents. He's played in over 440 consecutive games since 2002 (per Wikipedia), without a suspension. If he were truly as dirty as everyone says, wouldn't he have a few suspensions in there somewhere? Wouldn't something have happened to merit at least one suspension? edit - I can't get youtube at work, so I can't see Noj's link either, but I've seen something similar before. -

I know I'm in the minority here (and am a Spurs fan), but I don't think Bowen is "actively" trying to hurt people. If that were the case, he should have alot of ejections and suspensions, shouldn't he? I don't buy any argument that the league favors the Spurs, because there's simply no basis or logic in that. They're not a flashy, fun-to-watch team for most of the nation. Bowen is a very physical defender in a physical game. Maybe the best overall defender in hoops - at the expense the rest of his game (minus 3 point shooting). Being very physical sometimes results in going over the line a little, and in those particular instances, he should be held to the fire like any other player. What he does do is he gets in people's space and messes up their timing more than anyone else does. Yet he does it while rarely fouling out of games, and rarely being ejected. I think he plays hard, and is physical, and it bothers his opponent every time they play him. He gets into their head just with his presence, and they have to think about who is guarding them, so in that sense he's won part of the battle already. </fan boy glasses off> -
That's what I do as well, using "View New Posts" or "Todays Active Topics". If that's how you keep up with the board, it almost doesn't matter which forum a thread is in.

After a few of these, I'll recite just about anything!

That's happened to me before too, but in that case all I had to do was log in again with my ID and password. This was different this time. It made me re-register, with an email address, name I wanted to be called, a "secret question" and so forth. Once I'd done that, I was able to go back to the normal BB. Probably no big deal, but it was strange that it forced me to do it.
-
Maybe can answer my own question. It made me re-register (I used my existing "name"), but I am able to log back in and see the BB as normal. Weird place.
-
I went to check the AAJ forum just a little while ago, and it's now asking me for my email address and password to log in. Anybody else notice this? Do you have to re-register with them or something, just to view their BB? Is there anything different or worthwhile about going there now, or is it still the same?

How about this one?

Won't the same discussions take place regardless whether they are put in a "classical music" folder or a "miscellaneous music" folder? If so, then I fail to see the point of subdividing things further, just for the sake of subdividing them. But if you ARE going to subdivide, then I agree with Hans' point (or what I think may be his point), you should create a forum for blues, rock, country, r&b, etc.

I guess they had to, now that the USPS rates have gone up... that reminds me of something I've wondered. When something is shipped internationally, is their some monetary transfer between postal services? Or does everyone agree to deliver each other's international shipments? I believe (or think I've read, anyway) that there are agreements between the various federal postal services to deliver shipments from other countries at no cost. That doesn't stop incoming packages from being charged Customs taxes and so forth, but the actual delivery is at no cost.

Agreed - there should be some leeway for the circumstances. Use the intent that caused the rule to be put in place, not the "letter of the law". I think Stoudamire and Diaw shoulda been playing last night. The NBA attempting to prevent fights and scrums is a good idea - especially when it comes to players going into the stands. But this situation wasn't remotely like that. Horry's comments about the hard foul, earlier yesterday: -

I posted the official NBA response to that question earlier in this thread: Since there wasn't an altercation, apparently it didn't matter whether Duncan got up or not. -

This begs to question, "How does nekkidness ward off flies?" Seems like it'd attract flies if anything. You know, I'd like watermelon if it wasn't for those pesky seeds. Why they gotta put seeds in it? Anyhow, if I'm threatened, I can eat the vile fruit( I reckon it's a fruit ) with or without salt; same's cantaloupe. Luckily those pesky seeds are an option!

Those French, they seem to have a saying for everything. In fact, there's probably a saying about how they have a saying about everything.
