  1. Happy Birthday Ro-Beer!!!!!!!
  2. One minor suggestion - when you click on "View New Posts", the squares next to the threads with new posts (the little orange squares) are TINY, and hard for this old guy to click on easily. Any way to make those larger?
  3. ....can you add about 2300 posts to my post count? Just kidding!
  4. Thanks, Jim for getting this thing back up and running so quickly. Appreciate all the work you put into this place. Note to the thread originator - this is a private board run by individuals, and a labor of love. It's not like All About Jazz, where there are "masters to please", and there's a bit of an antiseptic feel.
  5. We play a game of the same name when we play poker (like I'm doing tonight), but the rules sound different than what you're playing. Here is the game we play. You only have one card, and pass it or keep it, depending on if you think it's not low.
  6. This album comes out on Tuesday. Anyone have an advance copy and care to comment on the content? Here's the artwork and tracklist: 1. Drum Improvisation [Live] 2. Dark Prince [Live] 3. 7. The plantation scene is one of the main additions. The other is additional footage with the USO "bunnies" that come over for the show. I think those were the main tweaks to the movie for Redux, and maybe some other minor touches here and there. I think the original film works better too.

  9. I agree. Get it now, because if you don't you're always going to wonder about it, and won't want to pay the high ebay etc prices later when it becomes scarce. Plus, you can certainly re-sell it on this board for that much, I'd think, if you just completely dislike it.
  10. edit - RIP Terry Hoeppner.
  11. For the football fans out there...
  12. The Agster is happy that the Alocster is recuperating.
  13. Sometimes I sit around feelling sorry for myself, like life couldn't get any worse, and my thoughts turn to dark things, I step back and realize there are always people (like Tony Parker) who have it much worse than me, and life is suddenly ok again.
  14. Was it like the X Ray glasses deal?
  15. Please let us know your impressions after the performances, Jan. I'd love to see the Spiritual Unity group!
  16. So obvious it's goin right over my head! You could always switch to "Wheel in the Sky", cuz ya know it keeps on turnin'.
  17. Congratulations Matt and Mrs. Matt (who really did the work here, let's face it) And welcome to the world, James!
  18. I wonder if the Browns were going to sign Arrington... LaVar Arrington Hospitalized After Motorcycle Crash Prince George's Hospital Center confirms former Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington is hospitalized after crashing his motorcycle. The hospital refused to release Arrington's condition, citing privacy laws. WTOP Radio reports he is in serious condition. Arrington reportedly crashed near Route 50 and the Beltway. He played six games with the N.Y. Giants last season, before being released. Arrington spent six seasons with the Redskins between 2000-2005. Arrington was the second overall pick in the 2000 draft out of Penn State.
  19. Coleman Collapses on Bonnaroo Stage Ornette Coleman was treated for heat-related dehydration after he collapsed during his performance at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival this weekend. The 77-year-old saxophonist, who is considered a pioneer of "free jazz," was taken to a local hospital Sunday and released later that night, said publicist Ken Weinstein. Coleman won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for music for his 2006 album, "Sound Grammar," his first live recording in 20 years. The album features six new compositions and remakes of classics "Song X" and "Turnaround." He received a lifetime achievement award at this year's Grammy Awards. Conditions at the Bonnaroo festival, about 60 miles southeast of Nashville, were hot and dusty. One fan died and officials were investigating whether drugs or heat played a role.
  20. No, but it's been a whole week without a PacMan Jones incident. Oh wait, never mind. His posse fired shots at an Atlanta strip club last night....again.
  21. Well, from the squirrel's POV, Mission Accomplished. No need to go back to THAT particular building. How far is two blocks in squirrel paces?
