  1. I like him. He's on a Randy Sandke Quartet CD called Unconventional Wisdom which is very nice (no piano in the group). He's been just fine in person too.
  2. Randy Sandke: Unconventional Wisdom "Dr." Lonnie Smith: Rise Up
  3. Elizabeth Strout: Olive Kitteridge I'm a sucker for prize winners. Pretty good so far.
  4. I'm not sad it's gone because (as usual) a few members can't or won't separate their own personalities & vitriol (in a few cases) from what's important. As always IMHO.
  5. Me too.
  6. Brewers sweep Cardinals in St. Louis.
  7. Lucky 7's: Pluto Junkyard (Clean Feed) - direct from their website, good price
  8. Am I correct in understanding that it's about 28 minutes long??
  9. You haven't seen Before The Devil Knows Your Dead????
  10. She was excellent in Moonstruck (IMO). Musically never did much for me.
  11. First episode of Wallander online at pbs.org
  12. Not particularly good, to tell the truth. One of the very few Milestones that don't have at least one killer cut on it. Just my opinion, and as I remember it. I liked the credenza at the end of the album and "McGhee", to me these are the highlights of this session. I thought a credenza was a piece of furniture. Cadenza maybe??
  13. I'm not a big fan, but I think "new age" is unfair.
  14. Hadley Caliman, Julian Priester, Larry Vuckovich, John Heard, Eddie Marshall
  15. Not too skinny.
  16. Carlos Ruiz Zafon: Shadow Of The Wind
  17. It was O.K.. Didn't quite resonate with me the way I thought it would. I'm a big Downey fan, Foxx not so much.
  18. Brewers beat Pirates today 1-0. Gallardo pitched a 2 hitter for 8 innings & won the game by hitting a solo home run.
  19. Grant Stewart: Young At Heart (50% of at Borders, they had 1 copy)

    Wallace Roney

I think "imitator" is unfair - but influenced for sure.
