  1. I don't get this, & yes I know who Christopher Hollyday is / was.
  2. I only met Miles once & he was very cordial. Maybe it was an "off" night.
  3. This'll come out about the same time as Chambers book on Twardzik (Bouncin' With Bartok).
  4. That was one on my list. They didn't have it here.
  5. Same in Santa Fe. I took my 40% off coupon & a list of 15 jazz CDs. They didn't have a single one.
  6. I noticed last week in my Borders store that they had just done a big reorgnization of the CD area and that the jazz section now takes up about half the space it used to. Looks like the beginning of the end. Same here in Santa Fe.
  7. Robert Mayer: Dreams Of Ada Richard Price: Lush Life
  8. Ravi Coltrane Quartet (Perdomo, Glawischnig, Strickland)
  9. 5 Play
  10. Don't hold your breath. Some will come out sooner than others. The Long March has been announced as far back as 2004 (with a different catalogue number).
  11. Nice CD. I obtained one from Allen a while back.
  12. I just won a copy on e-bay for $37 including shipping & insurance.
  13. FWIW, Marsh isn't on this one. Katzman is the main attraction, although Jimmy Rowles is just fine on piano.
  14. See my reply in the Lee Katzman thread.

    Lee Katzman

As I said in the first post in this thread in 2004, I have this CD & like it. The other 5 tunes are: Bossa NoNo (Med Flory) Trentino (Pepper Adams) Body & Soul BeBop Love Song (Bill Holman) Embraceable You

    Art Pepper

I just obtained The Way It Was mainly for the tracks with Marsh. The rest is nice too. Art's widow, Laurie, continues to release previously unheard (by most) material.
  17. Spring was here. Now we have 6 inches of snow on the ground.
  18. That makes me sad, a player that I will TRULY miss being able to watch play the game. He finished with a nice season, unlike Marino, Kelly, Montana and others. Absolutely. I heard that he might / would have stayed if Green Bay had signed Moss.
  19. George Pelecanos, one of my favorite "crime" writers, has been heavily involved with the series, & I believe wrote the screenplay for the episode we've just been talking about.
  20. WVCD116 by Spillett is also excellent.
  21. I have good seats for the concert in Santa Fe.
  22. Spring is here (I think).
  23. Is that when the book is finally being released???
