  1. The albums from the end o his Argo/Cadet run need CD release also, especially "Extensions". I do like that "Oil Can Harry's" album.
  2. This one is spectacular: As is Ervin, for that matter. But I guess we won't see anything but Binglerosie (your great term) from them, sales concerns being what they are.
  3. Booker Ervin, Booker T. Jones, Cory Booker, I'm a big fan of all three, especially Mr. Ervin. And there's always
  4. TTK, I like those Maynard albums, saw his MF Horn band live in the early 70's, was knocked out by "El Dopa". Jim, I agree with you on the cover, and it's OK if you call me Dude. That's well above midpoint of all the different things I've been called in my life.
  5. We use Microsoft Teams at Cerner, and I really like it for meetings. Not so much for file storage.
  6. Yes, a lot of excellent work with Jackie McLean that sat in the can for 15 years.
  7. Zoom has made several changes in the past week. Don't know that their security is "good" now, but it's better than it was.
  8. Wounded Bird released it on CD, but it seems to have not stayed in print.
  9. I own it. It's good, but I long for the other session from Prime Element (the one with Lee Morgan) to be on individual CD. It's on the Elvin Mosaic.
  10. Sheetz and Wawa have neatly divided up Pennsylvania, Wawa to the East and Sheetz to the West. There is a very very small area of overlap. The two companies run very different stores, but express great respect for each other. Wawa has great coffee, Sheetz coffee is awful. Sheetz has very good $1.99 meatball sandwiches, but in general their food is not bad but seems a little overpriced. Wawa makes a really good hoagie, and in general exudes more class in their menu. But I have no hesitation about stopping at either, the stores are clean, the gas is not expensive, and the food is dependable for what it is.
  11. In our area, it's all about
  12. Please IM if you have a CD of Green on Red - Gravity Talks you can sell me at a reasonable price, or if you have leads on same. Thanks!
  13. RIP
  14. Social distancing will slow down the spread, which will 1 - lower the spike, causing less shortages of ventilators/PPE/etc. 2 - buy time for the researchers to find a way to treat and to vaccinate for this thing. 3 - therefore, save lives. Pretty good return on the inconvenience, economic hardship, "forteiture of civil liberties".
  15. Use the Prime credit card, and the membership will pay for itself (5% back on Amazon purchases). You also get the free expedited shipping, and the free Prime Video material.
  16. I ordered a CD over the weekend directly from them with Prime, but am being quoted an April 18 delivery date. The last CD I had ordered came in about three-four days, a couple of days before it was supposed to arrive. My bigger problem with their deliveries is that they are frequently left at the wrong address, either the neighbor next door or the neighbor across the street.
  17. Went to the link to give a listen. The music is great and the fidelity is stunningly good.

His radio show is a blast.
  21. They did some good McCoy Tyner sessions.
  22. New 3CD box of this, with complete 1974 concert added. "Mother Russia" is as majestic as music gets, and "Things I Don't Understand" and "Running Hard" are other highlights. And this stuff actually got played on FM radio here in Philly in the mid-70's.
  23. "September Gurls" !!! One of the most perfect songs ever. She did glorious records in the mid-60's, as did Dionne Warwick. They still sound great today, every single from "Downtown" to "Don't Sleep in the Subway". I play them relatively often. It doesn't have to be rock or soul to be GREAT pop music.
  24. I'm probably as openly born-again Christian as anyone active on the board, and I'm good with closing the churches to keep us alive. Have been doing everything online, including "attending" livestreaming of worship services, leading my men's bible study via Zoom, etc., and it's all good, and we're all healthy and protecting the health of others.
