2010 copyright on this disc. I got mine at Dusty Groove in May of 2010. Would love to have a new reissue of Contrasts. You can say that again. After all, "you know who" is on that date. I do know who is on this date - well, I don't but I can check - but which 'you know who' is the stand out in your mind? One interesting name on the date is Tyrone Washington.

Attn: Mosaic - Bill Barron would make a fine box, either Select or big box. How about a big box collecting Barron and Curson recordings alone and together? I'll buy it, so only 4999 others to go.

While I certainly won't be buying the complete sets, I do recommend the George Duke - 'Brazilian Love Affair' album (70's Flora Purim) and the self-titled Stanley Clarke album (similar to Corea/RTF efforts of the mid-70's era with some grandeur, rather than the Clarke/Duke mindless funk that came soon after). Judas Priest? You're on your own there.

I agree, especially on the Anderza.

Shorty Goes to Hollywood is a good set. Count me among those who much prefer the earlier Rogers Atlantic's to the later RCA's.

Avid is my favorite of the PD labels. I really like their format, they load the discs to the max, and the price is great.

I am getting much more susceptible to doing that now, picking up things I already own. Especially since things are coming out in different formats and different labels for the same material so often now. And also because my racking has been in shambles for a few years now.

Saw it on Berkshire Record Outlet, but actually able to get it cheaper through Amazon UK, provided I ordered it correctly (have never ordered from there before). The 3 pound shipping charge seems low for a 13 CD set coming to the USA.

There is a 13-CD box available on United Archives (distributed by Harmonia Mundi). Anyone familiar with this set or this label? Worth $45-50 cost? thx

We have a small spare bedroom that I have for storing my music collection, and I have a desk in there, but I do almost all of my listening at work (a perk of being a techie worker bee in the IT industry), and my home stereo equipment (nothing remotely impressive, think $hundreds, not $thousands) is actually in our family room. We have a second small spare bedroom that my wife uses as a home studio for her work. That's how we still have wives.

I noticed that, but also noticed that I hated that whole album (by far weakest in the set), and that one of the two missing cuts is an alternate take, so I'm not sweating it.

I'll take the Giuffre's.

You can get it a good bit cheaper through some of the third party sellers on Amazon Marketplace.

I picked this up from Amazon for under $30. Nine CD's, all but one of the albums has bonus material.
